I stayed for a two-night Multiple Night Stay as a solo traveler at Asanoya in Yumura Onsen. From start to finish, everything was comfortable, and it truly became a wonderful stay. Onsen & Room: The Room was spacious, clean, and very relaxing—I was able to spend the two days as comfortably as if I were at home. The quality of the Onsen water was exceptional; each time I soaked in it, the silky water felt wonderful on my skin and soothed my fatigue from the core. Meals: Above all, I was most impressed by dinner each evening. The dishes made generous use of seasonal local ingredients, and every item reflected careful craftsmanship and attention to detail. The presentation was beautiful and enjoyable to look at as well. Not only were the flavors excellent, but everything—from the choice of tableware to the perfect timing of serving hot dishes while still hot—was outstanding, making each meal a truly blissful experience. They prepared different menus for both nights, so I looked forward to dinner every day. Hospitality: The staff’s thoughtful care and the warm service from the attendant who served my meals were wonderful. Even though I stayed alone, I never once felt lonely—instead, I enjoyed a luxurious yet heartwarming time. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again in another season. We stayed as a family. This was our first family trip with two boys. We contacted the Ryokan in advance to make sure we wouldn’t cause any trouble, and thanks to their support we had a wonderful time. The water in Yumura has truly excellent quality. It was a hot day and our child had heat rash, but after the Onsen the itching seemed to go away. We will visit again. Thank you very much.

This time I visited by motorcycle. I really appreciated being able to park it in a properly covered, roofed area. The service, room, hot spring, meals, and amenities—everything was simply excellent. Every detail was well taken care of, and I had a truly wonderful stay. The courtyard illumination at night is also beautiful. It’s a place I definitely want to return to. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

Surrounded by mountains, this Hotel is quiet and offers a relaxing, unhurried stay. At the front desk, you can borrow items such as soccer balls and badminton equipment. In summer, the indoor pool is also available, making it a comfortable choice for families with children to enjoy with peace of mind. The buffet felt slightly limited in variety, but everything tasted great and I went back for seconds several times. Depending on the season, there are also dishes featuring crab or abalone, giving the impression that guests of all ages can enjoy it. One small point to note is the shop: while there is a wide selection of souvenirs, there are fewer options for snacks and alcohol. You may want to buy those in advance at a convenience store or supermarket on the way. Also, because the building uses centralized air conditioning, there are no individual air conditioners in each Room. If you are sensitive to temperature changes, bringing lighter or warmer clothing may help you stay more comfortable.

The building itself felt a bit old, and I noticed a slight odor inside, but the Onsen and seafood were truly outstanding. Since the large public bath alternates between men and women, I only used one side, but it was spacious and comfortable. The water left my skin smooth and moisturized—it felt amazing. There wasn’t a place inside the tub to sit (with about half your body out), so I couldn’t soak for too long, but the open-air bath had a great atmosphere and I could relax without worrying about others. Our Room came with a private open-air bath, and the tub was even larger than it looked in the photos—there was plenty of space for two people to stretch out comfortably. It might even fit around three people with ease. Best of all, it was free-flowing natural hot spring water, so fresh water kept pouring in continuously—it felt wonderfully luxurious and incredibly relaxing. The crab I’d been looking forward to was also delicious—I think it was my first time ever getting completely full from crab. I was very satisfied with the sashimi and the salmon at breakfast as well. Of course, the steak was also very juicy and tender... That said, it seems rice and miso soup at dinner were brought after we asked for them (I’m sorry—I must not have listened carefully because I was captivated by the beautiful crab right in front of me). By the time they arrived I was already quite full, so I wished I had requested them earlier. There were thoughtful touches throughout as well—like a footbath inside the property and self-serve coffee in the morning. Everyone at both the dining area and front desk greeted us with smiles and were very kind, so we felt comfortable throughout our stay; it ended up being a truly refreshing trip that helped us unwind. I would definitely like to stay again.

Although it was during the summer vacation season, it wasn’t overly crowded, and we fully enjoyed the delicious meals and the Onsen. I quickly finished breakfast and went to work, and since I returned in the evening, I only had breakfast and dinner, but they also had Häagen-Dazs ice cream, so I was very satisfied with what was offered. If I come back to this area again, I would like to stay here again.

We stayed with our 1 year and 10-month-old child. We chose this accommodation because it is a "Welcome Baby" certified accommodation, and it truly lived up to its name! The kids' room was filled with various toys, which made our child very happy. Diapers and wipes were also provided, so we could travel light. The meals were absolutely delicious, and we were very satisfied! The breakfast for children was also luxurious and wonderful. Additionally, the all-inclusive service allowed us to enjoy drinks, alcohol, and snacks at any time we liked, which was a great perk. Our child kept asking for refills of Calpis (laughs). As for the Onsen, the private Onsen was available 24 hours a day. We could check availability on our smartphone and use it whenever we wanted! It was great to have relaxing bath time as a family. Since we stayed on a weekday, there weren’t many people around, so we could relax without worrying even with a small child in tow. The staff members were very kind as well—it turned out to be such a wonderful family trip! Thank you so much!

The location is quite tucked away, so I was a bit worried whether it really existed, but the room was a traditional Japanese-style room with a view of the river from the window and it was clean. When I first arrived, I noticed an odor in the hallway, but I got used to it and it stopped bothering me. The building has been expanded over time, so the layout felt quite complex. Dinner was a shabu-shabu course, and it was more elaborate than I expected. The seasoning suited my taste, everything was explained carefully, and we enjoyed it in a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was also satisfying—the rice was delicious, and the miso soup is served warmed in an iron pot. The baths were great as well: both an indoor bath and an open-air bath with river views, with very nice water. Overall, I left with such a good impression that I’d like to visit again. As an aside, all of the staff were very handsome!
