Mameya is a private rental Accommodation—an early Taisho-era nationally registered Tangible Cultural Property—renovated under the design of Shinsozai Kenkyujo. Surrounded by a landscape of stone garden and tiled roof, the space is filled with tranquility, and at night soft lights illuminate the garden. Reserve all four uniquely styled rooms and enjoy the original architectural details: a Western-style lounge that evokes the building’s early days, bedrooms with exposed beams, and views of the stone garden through yukimi shoji screens—an experience that feels like stepping back into the Taisho period. Spend a soothing moment at Mameya, a special place where Tamba-Sasayama’s history, nature, and art resonate together.

A Japanese-style Ryokan nestled in lush nature at an elevation of 500 meters. Set on spacious grounds surrounded by beautiful seasonal scenery. Enjoy hiking nearby with views of a mountain stream. In the evening, we serve Japanese cuisine featuring plenty of fresh local ingredients. Choose from a rich lineup, including sukiyaki made with carefully selected wagyu beef, authentic kaiseki crafted by our head chef, or a highland barbecue. After your meal, unwind in the Onsen to soothe everyday fatigue and refresh both body and mind—an indulgence in hot-spring relaxation. In a calming Japanese setting, fully enjoy the “Four Seasons of Rurikei.”

A traditional Japanese house accommodation, Beneportia, located on a hill in the nature-rich Kyotamba Town, about 2 hours from Keihanshin. Opened in 2019, the property has been renovated from a traditional house with an interior that exudes the charm of the Taisho era. We believe you will feel relaxed in its nostalgic atmosphere. The facilities are equipped with the latest electrical appliances, so please rest assured. In winter, there is a wood stove in the living room, allowing you to enjoy a wonderful evening while watching the fire. For your dogs, there is a private dog run surrounded by woods where they can run freely. With lighting available, the night dog run can also be used. In 2023, we installed dog agility equipment, so feel free to give it a try. The private barbecue pit and garden are also available for your use. If you plan to have a barbecue, all the basic tools are provided, so feel free to visit us.
