Yoshikawa was established as a culinary Ryokan after World War II, located near the Kyoto Imperial Palace in the heart of Rakuchu. The garden, known as "Taikyoen," is said to have been designed by Enshu Kobori and retains some features from the Edo period. The Sukiya-style building, once a residence of a wealthy merchant, offers an atmosphere of tranquility and charm that feels far removed from the bustling city. Opened in June 2019, conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from "Karasuma Oike" Station. All Rooms are non-smoking and feature Kyoto-inspired interiors. We provide original beds co-developed with Simmons and feather duvets, ensuring a high-quality and comfortable sleep. Within walking distance to Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and Nishiki Market, making it ideal for sightseeing.
