With the spirit of “Raisha Nyoki” (welcoming you as if returning home) and a deep respect for tradition, we have long hosted Bakumatsu-era patriots, members of the Imperial family, writers and artists, as well as guests from overseas. Our cuisine features kaiseki that reflects Kyoto’s annual events and the changing seasons. We would be delighted if you would spend a peaceful time at our historic Ryokan, embracing a culture that cherishes fine craftsmanship and harmony with nature.

Yoshikawa was established as a culinary Ryokan after World War II, located near the Kyoto Imperial Palace in the heart of Rakuchu. The garden, known as "Taikyoen," is said to have been designed by Enshu Kobori and retains some features from the Edo period. The Sukiya-style building, once a residence of a wealthy merchant, offers an atmosphere of tranquility and charm that feels far removed from the bustling city. We hope you will enjoy your stay at our culinary Ryokan, where you can relax and feel at home.
