A Kyoto Machiya where you can stay with your dog or cat, "Ichijo Karin." Accommodation is available for up to 4 guests. This is the only Property under Rakuryuan where cats are also allowed. Dogs (up to 2 medium-sized) and cats (up to 2) are welcome to stay. You can also stay with one dog and one cat. The size of the pet cage is 58cm in depth, 115cm in width, and 60cm in height. For stays with cats, we provide a cat tower, scratching post, cat litter, and a dedicated toilet. One parking space is available for free. The size is 200cm x 500cm. The Property is filled with the charm of a Kyoto Machiya, featuring glass shoji screens that have been cherished for years, beautifully grained coffered ceilings, impressive large beams, uniquely shaped kamoi, and the slightly steep stairs characteristic of Kyoto Machiya, which cannot be replicated even if newly built. You can choose between two Rooms: "Nishijin Kita Hagi" and "Nishijin Kita Ajisai." "Nishijin Kita Hagi" accommodates up to 5 guests, and "Nishijin Kita Ajisai" accommodates up to 6 guests. Both Rooms allow up to 2 medium-sized dogs. Please present proof of rabies vaccination and general vaccination at check-in. One free parking space is available for each Room. The parking space dimensions are 240cm x 540cm for "Nishijin Kita Hagi" and 200cm x 450cm for "Nishijin Kita Ajisai." The pet cage dimensions are as follows: For "Nishijin Kita Hagi" - Depth 76cm, Width 161cm, Height 70cm. For "Nishijin Kita Ajisai" - Depth 58cm, Width 96cm, Height 60cm. A small part of the courtyard has been designated as a dog area, and a foot-washing station is conveniently located near the entrance. This Kyomachiya, originally built in the late Meiji era as a Nishijin-ori merchant house, has been renovated into a "home" to be passed on to the future. "Kyoto no Ondokoro Nishijin Villa," which accommodates up to 8 guests, offers a spacious and elegant atmosphere. It is also ideal for a leisurely long-term stay. Additionally, the Property features a private garage for two cars on-site. It serves as a perfect base for exploring Kyoto's hidden gems, such as Miyama, Kurama, and Ohara, by car, allowing you to enjoy a broader and deeper experience of Kyoto.

A historic residence located near the renowned Kinkaku-ji Temple and Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto has been fully renovated. Inside the spacious interior, you can enjoy numerous historical features showcasing the craftsmanship of Kyoto's artisans. "Shinshinen," a renowned machiya in Nishijin, is a 160-year-old traditional architectural gem. Step inside and be transported back to the Edo period with its preserved historical charm. The property features classic machiya elements such as a tōriniwa (passage garden), an inner garden, and a tsuboniwa adorned with Kibune stones sourced from Kibune Shrine, creating picturesque beauty akin to artwork. Accommodations include two guest rooms: one with a 12-tatami shoin-style living room and another with an 8-tatami living room, accommodating up to 9 guests. "Villa Kazami" accommodates up to 7 guests, and "Villa Hatsuna" accommodates up to 4 guests. Both Properties allow up to two medium-sized dogs to stay together with you. The size of the pet cage is as follows: For "Villa Kazami" - Depth 80cm, Width 170cm, Height 90cm For "Villa Hatsuna" - Depth 60cm, Width 90cm, Height 60cm Each Property offers one free parking space. The dimensions are 220cm × 500cm × 250cm (height) for both. "Villa Kazami," ideal for family stays, features a spacious hinoki cypress bath in a square shape and is equipped with five Simmons semi-double beds in the bedroom. "Villa Hatsuna" is recommended for 2 to 3 guests. It is also equipped with Simmons single beds, and for groups of more than 3, we provide luxurious bedding.
