Around Former Bamboo Grove Residence × Accommodation For Enjoying Walks In The Onsen TownRecommended Hotel·Ryokan

A lakeside Accommodation with the nostalgic warmth of wood and earth, heartfelt hospitality, and gentle lighting. Enjoy kaiseki cuisine featuring seasonal local ingredients. Dog-friendly rooms are also popular, including guest rooms with a private open-air Onsen bath for pets. We also recommend the terrace lounge with complimentary drinks and the dog run.

An Onsen Ryokan perched on a hill overlooking Lake Biwa, with the added convenience of being just about 20 minutes from Kyoto. Our top recommendation is a guest room with an open-air bath and sweeping views of Lake Biwa. Enjoy a blissful soak in a variety of tubs, including glossy enamel-style baths, wooden baths filled with the scent of timber, and gently rounded ceramic baths. In addition, the new Facility “Wayu Yamaboshi” has opened, offering easy ways to experience Japanese games and culture. This hands-on space blends tradition with fun to make your trip even more memorable.

Located by Lake Biwa, "Komorebi" is a relaxing onsen ryokan. Enjoy the historic "Ogoto Onsen," with over 1200 years of history, at an affordable price. The adjacent sister property, "Yumotokan," features an open-air bath, spa, shop, and other facilities. Guests staying at Komorebi can freely use Yumotokan's facilities for an additional 700 yen (tax included). It's about a 20-minute train ride from Kyoto Station, and a shuttle service is available from Ogoto Onsen Station to the property, making it a convenient base for exploring Kyoto.
