"Kappo Ryokan Wakamatsu" was established in 1922 (Taisho 11) in Hakodate. Since then, it has been cherished for nearly a century as a long-established Ryokan offering the finest hospitality in Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen, one of Hokkaido's premier tourist destinations. In 1954 (Showa 29), it was honored to host His Majesty the Emperor during his tour of Hokkaido, and in recent years, it has been awarded one star in the "Michelin Guide Hokkaido." While preserving the hospitality refined through such history and tradition, "Wakamatsu Yugawara Sekitei" was established in March 2018 (Heisei 30) in Yugawara. EXP. Co-Onsen 呼隱撰 is a private villa situated right at the border of Atami and Yugawara. Against this backdrop, Co-Onsen features 2 private onsens - one made of wood and one of stone, a private sauna, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a phone booth for remote meetings, radiant floor heating at the core, and sleeping space for up to 9. The house is surrounded by an avant-garde Japanese garden designed by renowned landscape architect Michio Tase, having considered the balance and harmony of every species from the pond to the slopes, coming together in a non-pretentious, natural garden.
