This summer, I wanted to relax in an Onsen for at least a day, so I stayed at this Accommodation located a little over an hour by train from Nagoya. Perhaps because it sits on slightly higher ground, the mornings and evenings were cooler than in central Nagoya, and I could also enjoy a beautiful night view—making for a wonderful stay. If I had brought insect repellent spray and binoculars, I think I could have relaxed even more on the balcony while enjoying the night view during the evening-to-night hours when mosquitoes are around. Next time I visit in summer, I’ll be sure to bring them. I was also very happy to be able to enjoy alcohol—white wine in my Room and a tasting of local sake with dinner. By the way, there was a slight smell when I first entered the Room (I couldn’t tell what it was), but once I started using the air purifier it didn’t bother me, so it wasn’t an issue. The Room had drinks such as coffee, sencha green tea, and herbal tea, and there was even incense prepared in the alcove—I truly had a great time.

It was wonderful! So convenient—your Room is right there as soon as you get out of the car! The container unit was spacious and clean! If I had to mention one thing, the Asian-style scent bothered me a bit, but I’d stay again!

I stayed one night for sightseeing in Sekigahara. It was about a 10-minute drive to Sekigahara. It was my first time staying at a container Hotel, and the room was very practical. It’s more than enough for a solo stay. The mirror and desk light were especially useful—I could do my makeup while watching TV, which was great. The frozen meal you can receive was filling on its own, which really helped. There’s also McDonald’s, Drug Cosmos, and a 7-Eleven within walking distance, so it’s convenient. If possible, I think it’s better to finish all shopping before check-in and then head to the Hotel. The parking area near the rooms has space for about eight cars; if it’s full, you need to use the second parking lot. It’s behind the Hotel and requires going back out to the main road once. Also, although there is a gate with a door that would be a shortcut, it cannot be used due to local regulations, so you have to walk a bit to reach your room. I thought I had finally arrived, but ended up unexpectedly carrying my luggage through heavy rain at night and got tired. As long as you keep that in mind, it’s very convenient overall.

I stayed here because I wanted to relax in the Onsen. Since access between the Accommodation and the main building with the Onsen was only available until 22:00, it was disappointing that I couldn’t use the Onsen late at night or early in the morning, but otherwise I was satisfied. The set meals at the dinner dining area felt a bit pricey. Also, you need a smartphone to place orders. Because it’s surrounded by rice fields and feels quite isolated, it’s best to buy what you need before check-in. I believe the Hotel shop was only open until 21:30 as well. It’s a little inconvenient but acceptable. I’d like to stay again.

The Room (Matsu-no-Ma), the new bath, the meals, and all the staff were wonderful. It was a truly memorable stay.

Stayed here while doing the Lake Biwa cycling loop by road bike. Two nights in a mini cottage with breakfast included for 4,800 yen. Limited-time deal? I couldn’t believe it was during summer vacation—so cheap I was worried, but everything was well taken care of down to the details and it was excellent. The bath (5 tubs), showers (4), and toilets (4 or more) are shared, as is the fridge/freezer. Breakfast is available from 6:00 a.m., with rice refills (self-serve) and a plate of nine side dishes plus natto and miso soup. You can also help yourself to furikake, tea, coffee, and more. The Room has heating/air conditioning, a TV, and free Wi‑Fi. If I had to nitpick, the bed is on the small side and there’s no mattress pad. For the price, it was outstanding.

I stayed at the accommodation for the first time in early September. Although I was a bit anxious as the route to the accommodation was slightly difficult to find, it was located deep inside Yoro Park, and I felt relieved when warmly welcomed by the owner-chef despite the rain. We were lucky to be the only guests staying that day, allowing us to enjoy a very relaxing and leisurely time with both meals and a private bath. The meals we had been looking forward to since making our reservation were served at just the right temperature and portion size, and everything was absolutely delicious—simply perfect! The sashimi, Hida beef, hoba miso, salt-grilled ayu fish, and jellyfish dish were especially outstanding. In today’s world where "cleanliness and convenience" are often taken for granted, this retro Showa-era style building may have had some minor inconveniences due to its age; however, it is clear that great care has been taken in its upkeep, which left a very positive impression on us. It had been a long time since my spouse and I enjoyed such quality time together—soaking in a bath side by side while savoring delicious food paired with local sake. Listening quietly to the sound of rain outside through the window made for an unforgettable experience. It reminded me how important it is to spend moments like these from time to time. The staff were kind and attentive, which was very helpful. The bed was spacious and comfortable, and I slept well. There was also a large public bath, and the breakfast was delicious.
