Hida-Furukawa, known as “Takayama’s inner retreat,” is a charming town lined with traditional townhouses, white-walled storehouses, and the Setogawa River where carp swim. We have been operating this Accommodation for over 180 years. Our Meiji-era building, showcasing the craftsmanship of Hida artisans, is designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. Our 18 guest rooms are spread across three buildings: Shogetsuro (a merchant-style building built in 1905), Kogetsuro (a sukiya-style building built in the early Showa period), and Kangetsuro (built in the Heisei era) overlooking Honkoji Temple and the Araki River. Each offers its own distinct atmosphere. Enjoy a sense of closeness between people unlike in the city, and take time to reconnect with yourself.

Accommodation for adults aged 13 and above. Experience the warmth, traditional culture, and history of Hida Takayama, known as the "Little Kyoto" nestled in the mountains. Hida Takayama is a land of seasonal beauty throughout the year. At Hanaougi Bettei Iiyama, a tranquil accommodation with natural Onsen, we welcome you with Hida's hospitality and flavors.

Our accommodation, Hida Furukawa Togenkyo Onsen, is the only place in Hida Furukawa with its own natural hot spring source. The natural onsen, cherished by locals and previously little known to others, flows abundantly from our private source and features a soft, smooth texture like a beauty serum. For meals, our chef carefully selects premium ingredients such as Hida beef and an array of fresh vegetables and mountain plants from the satoyama region to craft each dish with care. Enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by natural onsen, exquisite cuisine, and the rich nature of satoyama that will rejuvenate both your body and soul.
