The town of "Mino," which flourished with the washi paper industry since the Edo period. The machiya architecture, where the phrase "udatsu ga agaru" originated, still reflects the prosperity of paper merchants of that era as an important historical and cultural heritage. At NIPPONIA Mino Merchant Town, we invite you to the machiya of former Mino paper merchants and offer experiences that immerse you in the history and culture of Mino.

The clear waters of the Nagara River and the living traditions of Mino are still here today. The quiet passage of time, woven through history, leaves a soothing sense of space in your mind. In summer, river activities such as rafting, canoeing, and SUP are also highly recommended. Discover Mino’s unique culture at the former Meitetsu Mino Station, the Mino Washi Akari Art Museum, or on a stroll through town in kimono. After a full day of travel, return to a comfortable space where you can truly unwind. A simple, beautifully kept interior and warm hospitality gently ease away the day’s fatigue.
