Our accommodation, formerly known as Fukujyuin, has welcomed visitors to Togakushi in Nagano Prefecture as a traditional lodging for shrine pilgrims. The historic main building and the garden that reflects the changing seasons continue to offer a serene space passed down through generations. While we may not have the vastness or modernity of large hotels or resort facilities, we are dedicated to preserving this historic building within the sacred grounds of Togakushi and providing our guests with a relaxing space and time.

Yakouin is a historic Property, originally built as the Amida Hall during the establishment of Zenkoji Temple. Experience the extraordinary with morning rituals unique to the Property, vegetarian cuisine, and sutra copying activities.

Zenkouji, boasting a history of approximately 1400 years, enshrines Japan's oldest Buddha statue. Within its precincts lies a traditional property renowned for its vegetarian cuisine. Enjoy the natural beauty of the seasons while soaking in our 22-meter-long open-air Onsen with 100% natural brown hot spring water flowing directly from the source. The indoor bath features a different type of spring water with no color and a sulfur scent for variety. Our rooms with private panoramic baths and private Onsen facilities also use the same 100% natural brown hot spring water as our large public baths, making them perfect for those seeking privacy or families looking to relax together. In April 2024, we will open a Finnish-style high-temperature sauna for an enhanced wellness experience.
