The lush greenery outside your window will surely soothe your soul. For bathing, we provide two options: a large public bath and an open-air bath. Surrounded by greenery, you can enjoy the gentle sulfur spring waters while breathing in fresh air at our scenic baths. Dinner features kaiseki cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients from Shinshu such as Shinshu beef and mountain vegetables. The freshness of locally sourced ingredients will leave you truly satisfied. At "Keikoku no Yu," our accommodation brimming with Japanese charm, immerse yourself in moments of tranquility amidst vibrant greenery.

A refined sukiya-style retreat nestled along a lush, verdant gorge. All buildings, including the guest rooms, face the Matsukawa Gorge—spring and summer bring fresh greenery to this “Accommodation in the gorge.” In autumn, it becomes a “healing hot spring” floating amid crimson mountains, and in winter, a “moment of tranquility” wrapped in white. In particular, the authentic yakiniku made with Shinshu beef raised on locally grown apples is a must-try. The hotel, located at the foot of Shiga Kogen, is convenient as a base for sightseeing to Zenkoji, Obuse, and Matsushiro. Renowned for its Onsen sourced from the famous Hoshikawa Onsen, it offers abundant water with a soft texture that is highly praised. Rooms range from 10 to 18 tatami mats, including special rooms with excellent views. Guests can enjoy karaoke for free. Choose your favorite dishes from the Japanese, Western, and Chinese buffet.

The Japanese garden with only 6 properties offers a relaxing space illuminated by over 100 soft lamps. All guests are gifted 30 minutes of free private bath use, ensuring a private stay. Enjoy the Yudanaka Onsen, which opened approximately 1350 years ago. Meals feature colorful kaiseki cuisine centered on seasonal ingredients from Shinshu, with Shinshu brand beef raised on apples as the main dish.

A new encounter, a single story. Kanbayashi Hotel Senjukaku. The story began with an encounter. It was in 1929 (Showa 4) when the first president of Nagano Electric Railway, Tohei Kozu, met Lieutenant Helseth from Norway. This meeting in Kanbayashi brought together European and Japanese cultures, creating an entirely new culture or space. It was a groundbreaking event where the culture of a Western-style Hotel was incorporated into a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan for the first time. Furthermore, this encounter became the prologue to the development of Kanbayashi Onsen and Shiga Kogen, now renowned as one of Japan's leading international resorts.
