Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.

Zenkouji, boasting a history of approximately 1400 years, enshrines Japan's oldest Buddha statue. Within its precincts lies a traditional property renowned for its vegetarian cuisine. Guests can experience sutra copying and participate in the daily "Oasaji" ceremony held at Zenkouji's main hall. Enjoy a serene time through unique experiences at this traditional property.
