Bessho Onsen is a villa area embraced by nature, ancient history, and historical sites, loved by many guests as a serene Onsen village alongside literary figures and artists. Renowned figures such as Shotaro Hanayagi and Matsutaro Kawaguchi have stayed at our Property numerous times. It is said that Kawaguchi decided on the title of his work "Aizen Katsura" during his stay here, inspired by the giant katsura tree near the Kannon statue. Kashiwaya Honten, with over a century of history, welcomes each guest with care, incorporating "Japanese elegance," "seasonal aromas," and "warm hospitality" into its architecture, cuisine, and service, offering a tranquil Japanese lodging experience.

In June 2024, a new guest room has been introduced: the "Onsen Premium Room." Enjoy an exclusive in-room dinner featuring A5-grade Shinshu Premium Beef steak as the main dish. Relax and indulge in the 100% natural flowing "Bijin no Yu" hot spring to your heart's content.

A warm welcome that will make you want to say “I’m home” again awaits you. You’re sure to feel at ease in the friendly atmosphere, where every staff member greets you with a smile. The property features 100% natural Onsen hot spring water from the source and a scenic panoramic sauna, perfect for relaxing at your own pace. Surrounded by a quiet, calming setting, Kitamuki Kannon Temple—a popular sightseeing spot—is just a 2-minute walk away. Enjoy a peaceful stay and leave the bustle of everyday life behind.
