Bessho Onsen is a villa area embraced by nature, ancient history, and historical sites, loved by many guests as a serene Onsen village alongside literary figures and artists. Renowned figures such as Shotaro Hanayagi and Matsutaro Kawaguchi have stayed at our Property numerous times. It is said that Kawaguchi decided on the title of his work "Aizen Katsura" during his stay here, inspired by the giant katsura tree near the Kannon statue. Kashiwaya Honten, with over a century of history, welcomes each guest with care, incorporating "Japanese elegance," "seasonal aromas," and "warm hospitality" into its architecture, cuisine, and service, offering a tranquil Japanese lodging experience.

In June 2024, a new guest room has been introduced: the "Onsen Premium Room." Enjoy an exclusive in-room dinner featuring A5-grade Shinshu Premium Beef steak as the main dish. Relax and indulge in the 100% natural flowing "Bijin no Yu" hot spring to your heart's content.

Private baths with both open-air and indoor options are a highlight. Opened in August 2023, enjoy the renowned "Bijin no Yu" hot spring in three private baths (free of charge) featuring an indoor bath and open-air bath overlooking a garden. For families, the Baby & Kids Plan offers in-room dining for breakfast and dinner. The special experience of staying in a glamping Room is also popular. At the Property in the nature-rich Bessho Onsen, the entire facility and all rooms are non-smoking. Traditional Japanese-style rooms overlook a historic Japanese garden, and you can relax in the lobby with jazz music. The Onsen, flowing continuously for 24 hours, is known as a beauty spring, featuring a mild water quality. Creative cuisine utilizes seasonal ingredients from Shinshu, offering gentle flavors that soothe the body and mind.
