This Accommodation is located near a ski resort, and the building feels a bit dated. There was still a faint scent of old tatami in the room, but we didn’t encounter any stink bugs that sometimes appear at mountain lodgings, which was reassuring. The bath is an Onsen with a gentle feel on the skin and a slightly silky texture. I prefer soaking slowly in warm rather than hot water, and the temperature was just right for me. Dinner is served around an irori hearth. There seemed to be a tour-bus group staying that day as well, and the dining area was nearly full. Their menu appeared to be different from ours, but our hearth-grilled dishes were carefully turned at the right time by the attendant, and everything was delicious. This isn’t an Accommodation for those seeking glamour or luxury, but what impressed us most was the very reasonable price. It’s surprisingly affordable for a place listed on IKYU—about the cost of one night at a Business Hotel in Tokyo—and it even includes dinner for two. Considering the cool summer climate and this price point, it was more than satisfying stay.

We made a Reservation at this Accommodation to visit the moss phlox at Chausuyama Highlands, and we were extremely satisfied. The buffet was delicious, and as a couple who loves alcohol, we were happy to enjoy drinks at reasonable prices and had a wonderful time. It would have been nice if smaller draft beer glasses were available. During the buffet, a staff member kindly told us that we might be able to see a herd of wild deer, and we actually got to see them. As expected of Kyukamura—nature at its best. We truly enjoyed the great outdoors and had a fantastic trip. Thank you very much.

Stopped by during a tour to Chausuyama Kogen Road and Horaiji Mountain. Over 30 years ago, the current proprietress's father started this property by renovating their old family home. Nowadays, properties renovated from old houses are not uncommon, but the foresight to start it in that era is impressive. Urugi Village is a great place to spend a relaxing time in a rural setting. The proprietress's proud dishes of game meat and mushrooms, salt-grilled sweetfish, and horse sashimi were very satisfying. The gohei mochi served at the end was also quite filling. There was "Urugi Onsen Komadori no Yu" nearby, so we went there for a bath. Therefore, we did not use the bath at the property. It was a nice property, friendly to riders. The house, nestled in the forest, was quiet and perfect for a restful retreat. The robatayaki and wild boar hot pot were also exceptionally delicious.
