I stay here about once a year. The Mt. Fuji view is breathtaking, and the hospitality, Onsen, and cuisine are all outstanding in quality. The only minor drawback is that it can be hard to secure a Reservation—but that’s proof of how great it is.

This was my first stay at Fufu Kawaguchiko, and my fifth Fufu property overall. The meals were exceptionally delicious. The large public bath and sauna were also wonderfully relaxing. Since there is a garden, I thought it would be even better if there were an open-air bath. At other Fufu properties there was complimentary lounge drinks, so I was disappointed that this was not available here.

We stayed at Hotel Mt. Fuji for one night. To our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded, and we were able to relax in a spacious suite. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we couldn’t enjoy the Mt. Fuji view we had been looking forward to. On a clear day, I’m sure you can take in the magnificent mountain from the west-facing terrace. Given the hotel’s wonderful location, the only regret this time was not being blessed with good weather. We would love to visit again on a sunny day. What left the strongest impression was the French dinner. Not only was everything delicious, but we were also thoroughly satisfied with the beautiful presentation and generous portions. We were able to savor an excellent meal at a relaxed pace.

The staff’s greetings are outstanding. The Facility and Rooms are frequently renovated, so everything is spotless. The dinner and breakfast venues also feel fresh, and you can really see the ongoing effort to keep updating the menu, interior design, and even the lighting. The food is stylish with a wide variety of dishes. The dessert corner at dinner is especially delicious, with baked sweets and cakes made using various fruits. Personally, I was happy to see blueberries on the buffet given the season. Marriott never disappoints wherever you stay in Japan or abroad, but Yamanakako was particularly memorable!

Our family of three (two adults and one older elementary school child) stayed here. The Facility was exceptionally well maintained throughout—spotlessly clean and beautiful everywhere. It was a wonderful place I can confidently recommend to others! Here are the highlights that impressed us, along with a couple of small points we noticed. ◯ Highlights Beautifully balanced meals: The ingredients prepared in the refrigerator were the perfect amount—not too much, not too little. The colors and presentation were lovely, everything felt very clean, and we were excited even before eating. The selection of complimentary drinks included in the Accommodation Fee was also excellent! User-friendly kitchen: The dining kitchen was spacious and easy to move around in, and the grill was simple to use, making cooking fun. A fully equipped authentic spa: Not only a bath, but also a sauna and cold plunge pool—an incredibly relaxing experience. ◯ With hopes for future improvements (why we rated 4 stars) The boundary between indoors and outdoors on the way to the open-air bath was very slippery, so we placed towels down ourselves as a precaution. Guests with small children or elderly family members may want to be especially careful. Moving between the Room, toilet, bath, and dining area requires outdoor footwear throughout, but we found the provided shoes a bit difficult to wear. More slip-on options would make it even more comfortable. That said, our overall satisfaction was extremely high—so much so that these minor points hardly mattered—and it became a great memory for us. We would love to stay again!

The open-air bath was truly wonderful, and the water temperature was very comfortable, so I could soak for a long time. It was a No Meals Included Plan, but I was able to spend a quiet and relaxing time. It’s an Accommodation where I could really unwind, and I’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.

Initially, I made a Reservation without dinner to attend a live concert at Kawaguchiko Stella Theater, but the Accommodation kindly provided a Shuttle Service to the theater. This allowed me to have dinner at the Accommodation as well, and I was very satisfied. It was extremely disappointing that Mt. Fuji was not visible at all due to the rain.

I stayed here on a weekday getaway, and in a word: it was amazing! I definitely want to stay again. First of all, I was impressed by the Room—it’s two-story (I’d never stayed in one before, so it felt really special). It was great that the dining area and the place to relax were clearly separated. The entrance is set up so you don’t run into other guests, you can park where you can see your car, and you can even see Mt. Fuji. The meals—from dinner all the way to a late-night snack—were carefully prepared, and I kept thinking, “How full are they trying to make me?” while happily finishing everything (lol). There were other things that impressed me too, but I’ll leave them out. I just wished checkout could be 11:00 so I could relax a little longer. Thank you very much!
