I visited after a mountain hike. At check-in, we were offered only a cold hand towel, with no tea or sweets, and were shown to our Room. The Accommodation is small, but it felt clean throughout, including the Room, so we were able to stay comfortably in that respect. There was also complimentary beer service, but it was a bit disappointing that it was served in a cup rather than a mug or glass. The bath uses mineral spring water and has no taste or smell. I didn’t notice anything in particular while soaking, but after a while my skin felt smooth. Also, as time passed my body warmed up nicely, so it’s a good bath. As the Reviews said, the meals featured plenty of Toyama ingredients. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, but I think the dining experience would be even better with some explanation of the dishes. That said, during the meal the staff member in charge only said things like “Here you are” and “I’ll clear these,” which felt a little impersonal. I could hear another staff member serving the table behind us saying things like “Would you like more rice?” and “Would you like seconds?”, so it may depend on each person’s approach—but I wished for slightly more guest-focused service from our attendant. I was also concerned about there being cameras installed in several places; it felt somewhat like being watched. If they were placed more discreetly or with more consideration, it might feel less uncomfortable. Overall though, I think it was a good Accommodation.

Thank you very much for taking care of me during my stay. This was a solo trip to an Accommodation I had wanted to stay at for the past 15 years, and my wish finally came true. It’s been difficult to coordinate schedules with family and friends, so I was grateful that solo stays were possible. The beautiful Tateyama Mountain Range and fresh greenery were stunning. The sea is also appealing, but this time my main goal was to relax quietly and enjoy the Onsen. I chose this Accommodation expecting great cuisine and an Onsen experience—and it was absolutely the right choice! Delicious Toyama specialties that more than met my expectations, and I could truly feel the chef’s careful attention to detail. The view of the Tateyama Mountain Range from the in-room open-air bath, along with birdsong, was unforgettable. I was also deeply moved by the warm hospitality of the female staff in the restaurant. The entire property was clean and comfortable, and I slept soundly for the first time in a while. Next time, I would love to visit again with friends or family. Thank you very much.

The Room was clean and spacious, and the staff welcomed us with warm smiles, making our stay very comfortable. The delicious meals—and above all, the soothing presence of the resident dogs—helped melt away all our daily fatigue. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

I stayed here after being captivated by the night-view photos of the Onsen. Since this was a family trip with small children, I wasn’t expecting a luxury Ryokan, but because it’s located where you can take in a sweeping view of Toyama City (and even across to Imizu City), I never got tired of the scenery—sunrise, sunset, and night. Honestly, this location is truly one of a kind and priceless; it was far better than staying at some mediocre high-end Ryokan. I’ll upload my clumsy photos, but in person it’s 10 or 20 times more impressive. On the way to the Onsen there is a corridor explaining the history of the Kureha Hills, and I could really feel how much care and affection the staff have for this place and for this Hotel. The Facility is certainly Showa-era in style, but that actually made me feel even more attached to it. I felt genuinely happy to have discovered—and stayed at—this kind of Hotel. I also want to mention the breakfast buffet. Above all, I was amazed at how delicious the rice was. That wonderful white rice with miso soup and grilled fish in the morning—along with sides like okra and vinegared dishes—was something I truly enjoyed. Depending on where you’re going, if you plan to visit Toyama City or nearby Imizu City or Takaoka City, this is definitely a great choice. My kids absolutely loved Kodomo Mirai-kan at Taikoyama Land, so we’ll probably go back to Toyama next year—and when we do, I definitely want to stay at this Hotel again. We stayed with a group of 7 at this accommodation. It is a nostalgic traditional Japanese house, but the owner's renovation skills truly stood out, making our stay very enjoyable. Although there were time restrictions, we had fun with outdoor BBQs and campfires at the outdoor BBQ area. The facility also offers indoor options like smokeless roasters for BBQs, hot pots, or takoyaki parties. We look forward to trying these during our next stay! The indoor camping space (kids' space) is designed like a sunken earthen floor area within the building, creating an open and spacious atmosphere with its high ceiling. Being an old-style house, we were initially concerned about drafts or cold temperatures indoors; however, those worries proved unnecessary. The large stove, kotatsu table heater, air conditioning units, and other heating facilities kept us warm and comfortable throughout our stay! If there's one minor point to mention—it was sometimes unclear where guests could access freely since there were no clear signs such as "Staff Only" or "No Entry." Occasionally opening doors led to storage areas or spaces under renovation. Overall though, it was a wonderful experience where we could relax freely without any concerns. Next time we'd love to try staying at their related accommodations YADO2 or YADO3 (scheduled for completion this summer).
