The interior is calm, with heavy wooden rooms, antique fittings, expensive books and ornaments, and modern furniture well arranged. The lobby area is spacious. The room is also large and comfortable. The large open-air bath tub on the wood deck is always at the right temperature.

I think it’s the perfect location to relax away from the city. The building, including the Room, was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Depending on the season, I recommend a Room with a balcony. I’d like to stay here again.

This was my third stay at this Accommodation. Last time I had breakfast only and it was delicious, so this time I chose a Plan with both dinner and breakfast. Everything was seasoned just the way I like, and I really enjoyed it. There were so many dishes and such generous portions that it was more than I could finish.\n\nThe bath was quite hot, but very relaxing. Perhaps because it was a weekday and there were few guests, it felt almost private and I could soak at ease.\n\nI would love to stay again.

I love Onsen and have stayed at many Accommodations across the whole country, including luxury Ryokan, but Koguriyama Sanso stands out for its deeply satisfying meals, the best Onsen where you can always soak in peace and relaxation, the wonderful view from the window, and the quiet, luxurious time surrounded by nature—along with the hostess’s bright and welcoming personality. It is a memorable place I want to visit again even if it’s far away. Whether you’re traveling solo, with family, or in a group, I highly recommend this Accommodation for warmly welcoming everyone.
