The location of our Hotel was once home to a historic Japanese restaurant called "Asakusa Tanbo Kusatsu-tei," which thrived for over 150 years. This renowned establishment featured a stage where many geisha graced the banquets, adding elegance to the social gatherings. During the era of luxury restrictions, geisha attire consisted of Shimada-style hair, short-sleeved kimono, and white face powder makeup.
