In Ikaho, we are one of the few hot spring Accommodations where you can enjoy two types of waters: “Kodakara-no-Yu,” traditionally said to be beneficial for women; “Kogane-no-Yu” (Golden Hot Spring), said to be good for recuperation; and “Shirogane-no-Yu” (Silver Hot Spring), said to promote health. Ryokan Tamaki has been in operation for 70 years, during which we have identified three essential elements for a ryokan: friendliness, dignity, and emotion. A property that embraces Japanese sentiment, where you can visit casually and feel at ease. This is the philosophy of Ryokan Tamaki. If you have a regular place to stay, you don't need a villa. Tamaki is a small ryokan, but we provide great relaxation to everyone.

Our Accommodation is a hot-spring inn for guests aged 20 and over.In the early Meiji era, the 14th-generation proprietor, Yoshishige Fukuda, opened a new annex in Ikaho, Joshu—“Oku Ikaho Ryotei Kaichoro”—distinct in character from the family’s long-established Accommodation.In “Kaichoro,” “Kai” signifies tranquility, and “Cho” expresses our wish for guests to spend their time at ease; with this hope, we chose the name.From our carefully crafted cuisine to refined traditional Japanese-style Rooms and high-grade Rooms with an emphasis on design, all Rooms feature a private open-air bath. Pinon, a Western-style Ryokan, was inspired by my two-and-a-half-year study abroad experience in the UK during my twenties.Since childhood, I dreamed of becoming the proprietress of my family's Ryokan and was preparing for that goal during this time.In Ikaho Onsen, known for its healing waters, there were no accommodations where women could feel safe traveling alone, enjoy a hotel-like relaxing stay, or savor freshly made delicious Western cuisine.If I were to start an accommodation business myself, I wanted to create a place where I would personally love to stay—an accommodation unlike any other.With these thoughts in mind, this Hotel opened its doors in 1997.Since then, we have consistently provided a space where solo travelers or small groups can fully enjoy a private hotel experience,a unique "French-style Kaiseki" meal that can be enjoyed with chopsticks,and complimentary access to private Onsen baths available 24 hours—a hospitality unique to hot spring resorts.This is the perfect Accommodation for women looking to escape daily life and relax at their own pace. Moriaki Ryokan, as its name suggests, is known as "Ujō no Yu" and offers the particularly rare "Golden Onsen" with free-flowing hot spring water in Ikaho Onsen. Founded in the first year of the Meiji era, this renowned hot spring with a 1500-year history is known for its gentle spring quality, soothing the hearts and bodies of its visitors. There are various bath options, including open-air baths, large communal baths, private baths, and rooms with onsen, all of which can be enjoyed with free-flowing hot spring water.It is also known as the inn loved by the poet Noguchi Ujō, and there is a space where you can feel his works and history. Additionally, it is in an excellent location, just a 3-minute walk to the stone steps street, making it convenient for strolling around the onsen town. An evening stroll in a yukata is also recommended, allowing you to experience a different onsen atmosphere from the daytime.The guest rooms range from standard types with a Japanese ambiance to rooms with onsen, offering a variety of types. In particular, rooms with onsen allow you to enjoy the "Golden Onsen" in a private space.
