In Ikaho, we are one of the few hot spring Accommodations where you can enjoy two types of waters: “Kodakara-no-Yu,” traditionally said to be beneficial for women; “Kogane-no-Yu” (Golden Hot Spring), said to be good for recuperation; and “Shirogane-no-Yu” (Silver Hot Spring), said to promote health. Our Accommodation is a hot-spring inn for guests aged 20 and over.In the early Meiji era, the 14th-generation proprietor, Yoshishige Fukuda, opened a new annex in Ikaho, Joshu—“Oku Ikaho Ryotei Kaichoro”—distinct in character from the family’s long-established Accommodation.In “Kaichoro,” “Kai” signifies tranquility, and “Cho” expresses our wish for guests to spend their time at ease; with this hope, we chose the name.From our carefully crafted cuisine to refined traditional Japanese-style Rooms and high-grade Rooms with an emphasis on design, all Rooms feature a private open-air bath. We also offer a spa and reservable private open-air baths, so you can fully enjoy your stay.

Enjoy the renowned Onsen and gourmet delights at our Onsen Property in Ikaho. This Onsen destination, cherished since the Manyo era, offers both the Golden Onsen and Silver Onsen for your relaxation. Take your time and indulge. The famous Ikaho Stone Steps Street, a must-visit spot in Ikaho Onsen, is about a 10-minute walk away. Immerse yourself in the Onsen atmosphere and enjoy strolling while sampling local treats. For meals, savor a creative buffet featuring local gourmet dishes, sashimi, sushi, and a mix of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine.
