In Ikaho, we are one of the few hot spring Accommodations where you can enjoy two types of waters: “Kodakara-no-Yu,” traditionally said to be beneficial for women; “Kogane-no-Yu” (Golden Hot Spring), said to be good for recuperation; and “Shirogane-no-Yu” (Silver Hot Spring), said to promote health. Ryokan Tamaki has been in operation for 70 years, during which we have identified three essential elements for a ryokan: friendliness, dignity, and emotion. A property that embraces Japanese sentiment, where you can visit casually and feel at ease. This is the philosophy of Ryokan Tamaki. If you have a regular place to stay, you don't need a villa. Tamaki is a small ryokan, but we provide great relaxation to everyone.

Our Accommodation is a hot-spring inn for guests aged 20 and over.In the early Meiji era, the 14th-generation proprietor, Yoshishige Fukuda, opened a new annex in Ikaho, Joshu—“Oku Ikaho Ryotei Kaichoro”—distinct in character from the family’s long-established Accommodation.In “Kaichoro,” “Kai” signifies tranquility, and “Cho” expresses our wish for guests to spend their time at ease; with this hope, we chose the name.From our carefully crafted cuisine to refined traditional Japanese-style Rooms and high-grade Rooms with an emphasis on design, all Rooms feature a private open-air bath. We also offer a spa and reservable private open-air baths, so you can fully enjoy your stay.

With only 4 rooms, the fewest in Ikaho, our Property ensures a relaxing stay for our guests. Each room is uniquely designed so that even if you visit us four times, you can enjoy a completely different experience each time. For dinner, we offer "Joshu Obanzai," where you can choose from three main dishes. Our Onsen features two distinct baths themed around wood and stone, available for private use. A nostalgic, gentle, and tranquil space and time... yet with a touch of modernity. Limited to one group per day, so you can relax without worrying about neighbors. Premium timber sourced from Gunma’s Jomo Sanzan mountains soothes both body and mind. Many day-use Onsen are nearby, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. Takasaki, Maebashi, Ikaho, and Haruna are about 25 minutes by car. With sound equipment, lighting, and streaming gear fully provided, it can be used for a wide range of purposes such as live performances, instrument practice, concerts, dance lessons, yoga, meetings and training sessions, and parties.On the second floor are four Rooms accommodating up to nine guests.The entire building can also be rented exclusively, making it suitable for group retreats.You can also enjoy barbecues and fireworks in the spacious outdoor parking area.Many sightseeing spots are nearby—including Ikaho Onsen and Lake Haruna—so there is plenty to explore beyond a single visit.Please enjoy a quiet moment here along with your sightseeing.
