Our Accommodation is a hot-spring inn for guests aged 20 and over.In the early Meiji era, the 14th-generation proprietor, Yoshishige Fukuda, opened a new annex in Ikaho, Joshu—“Oku Ikaho Ryotei Kaichoro”—distinct in character from the family’s long-established Accommodation.In “Kaichoro,” “Kai” signifies tranquility, and “Cho” expresses our wish for guests to spend their time at ease; with this hope, we chose the name.From our carefully crafted cuisine to refined traditional Japanese-style Rooms and high-grade Rooms with an emphasis on design, all Rooms feature a private open-air bath. A historic Ryokan established during the Muromachi period. Our pride is the Onsen, "Golden Hot Spring," featuring natural free-flowing spring water. This authentic Onsen boasts a unique tea-brown color and is rich in mineral deposits. After enjoying the Onsen, we recommend taking a stroll through Ikaho's famous Stone Steps Street.

In addition to the spacious large public bath, we also offer a rooftop open-air bath with a panoramic view of the majestic mountains. You can fully enjoy a tour of the baths within the Facility. We especially recommend the guest rooms with semi-open-air baths, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the townscape of Ikaho and Mount Akagi while soaking in the Onsen. Additionally, the Facility is equipped with private baths, karaoke, manga, mahjong, table tennis, and other entertainment facilities that can be enjoyed for free. After leisurely enjoying the Onsen, spend a rich time with fun entertainment.

The property located by the shores of Akaya Lake features seven non-smoking rooms, all with lake views, and boasts the gentle Sarugakyo Onsen flowing directly from the source. From the windows, guests can enjoy seasonal scenery and views of Akaya Lake, experiencing a tranquil time away from daily life. In the spacious Japanese-style rooms, dinner includes a creative Japanese kaiseki meal full of seasonal flavors, and breakfast is a traditional Japanese meal. The traditional Japanese garden also offers different delights with each visit.
