Tanigawa Onsen, nestled beneath the majestic Mt. Tanigawa. A Japanese-style Ryokan, “Minakami Sanso,” stands quietly by the clear stream of the Tanigawa River. From the 4th-floor lounge “Usuyukiso,” Mt. Tanigawa reveals its beauty in every season—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—inviting you to a peaceful time filled with rich travel charm.

You can enjoy five different baths and seven unique tubs, all available for private use. Meals are served in "Roan," a completely private dining area with a hearth at each table, where you can leisurely savor charcoal-grilled dishes and local cuisine.

“Kura-no-Yu,” a renovated Meiji-era storehouse bath, offers a lukewarm soak in our private 36°C natural hot spring, along with guest Rooms set within a traditional Japanese house of white plaster and black lacquer finishes. Each Room is equipped with a massage chair, and we welcome you with relaxed, unobtrusive hospitality. Furnishings, antiques, calligraphy, and paintings are displayed throughout the property, creating an atmosphere like an art museum. The property located by the shores of Akaya Lake features seven non-smoking rooms, all with lake views, and boasts the gentle Sarugakyo Onsen flowing directly from the source. From the windows, guests can enjoy seasonal scenery and views of Akaya Lake, experiencing a tranquil time away from daily life. In the spacious Japanese-style rooms, dinner includes a creative Japanese kaiseki meal full of seasonal flavors, and breakfast is a traditional Japanese meal.
