Our large public bath, featuring free-flowing natural hot spring water, is located in Sarugakyo Onsen. With high ceilings and a bright, open atmosphere, it offers separate bathing areas including a rock bath and a hinoki cypress bath for a relaxing soak.In addition, our open-air bath lets you enjoy a rock bath while surrounded by nature.
This is a modern Ryokan at Shima Onsen, popular among women. It features a large public bath and three private open-air baths that can be used multiple times for free. Check-out is at 12 PM, making it ideal for those who wish to relax in the morning.
The property located by the shores of Akaya Lake features seven non-smoking rooms, all with lake views, and boasts the gentle Sarugakyo Onsen flowing directly from the source. From the windows, guests can enjoy seasonal scenery and views of Akaya Lake, experiencing a tranquil time away from daily life. In the spacious Japanese-style rooms, dinner includes a creative Japanese kaiseki meal full of seasonal flavors, and breakfast is a traditional Japanese meal. The traditional Japanese garden also offers different delights with each visit.
We take pride in our Onsen, a variety of baths, and handmade cuisine crafted without relying on pre-made products (limited to a set number per day). Guests can enjoy five private baths at no additional charge. All baths feature free-flowing Onsen water. You are welcome to use the hinoki wood family bath or the stone family bath freely. The natural Onsen water is colorless, odorless, and sourced directly from our private spring on-site, flowing continuously (free-flowing source). Notably, Gennoyu and Koshiburo Ichinoyu are supplied directly through natural gravity as they are located lower than the spring source. Please note that as this is a wooden building, there is no elevator; guests will need to use stairs. Meals are served in the dining area. For stays of three nights or more, meals from the third night onward will repeat the menu from the first and second nights. We regret that we cannot accommodate changes to meal content (including allergies or preferences). All rooms and indoor areas are non-smoking, including electronic cigarettes.
