Our Accommodation is a hot-spring inn for guests aged 20 and over.In the early Meiji era, the 14th-generation proprietor, Yoshishige Fukuda, opened a new annex in Ikaho, Joshu—“Oku Ikaho Ryotei Kaichoro”—distinct in character from the family’s long-established Accommodation.In “Kaichoro,” “Kai” signifies tranquility, and “Cho” expresses our wish for guests to spend their time at ease; with this hope, we chose the name.From our carefully crafted cuisine to refined traditional Japanese-style Rooms and high-grade Rooms with an emphasis on design, all Rooms feature a private open-air bath. The Property, located a 20-minute drive from the World Heritage Site Tomioka Silk Mill, offers WiFi in all guest rooms and features two separate large baths for men and women. Isobe Onsen has long been cherished by travelers and spa-goers, with its high-quality chloride bicarbonate spring water known as "beauty water" and "healing water for colds." From the special pure Japanese-style room on the top floor, guests can enjoy seasonal landscapes. Additionally, the open-air baths include a fragrant hinoki cypress bath and a rock bath, providing a delightful bathing experience. The daily screening of the "Tongue-Cut Sparrow" story is enjoyable for both children and adults. Meals are prepared using the finest local ingredients from Gunma, ensuring safe and reliable dining.

Our specialty "Fluffy Tofu Hot Pot," also known as the edible Onsen, is the pride of our establishment. Enjoy its unique fluffy and melty texture. The 12-tatami Japanese-style Room with a great view of the Isobe Onsen town offers a refreshing scenery of Mount Haruna. Wireless LAN is installed for internet access. From the bath, you can enjoy the spring scenery with blooming cherry blossoms. We provide meals incorporating abundant ingredients from Gunma Prefecture, promoting local production and consumption.

A new style Ryokan was established in Isobe in July 2022. This is a new style Ryokan designed for those who prefer a more casual travel experience rather than the extensive services of a traditional Ryokan. Enjoy a private space with an entire Property reserved for your stay. The Property features a spacious living room, three different types of bedrooms, a ping-pong Room, a board game Room, and more, all packed into one luxurious private space. Equipped with a wooden deck, soft Kyoto Wasarashi cotton pajamas, and ReFa hair dryers, your stay will be comfortable and enjoyable. With the tableware, cooking utensils, and hot plates provided at our Property, you can enjoy activities like a barbecue or takoyaki party. While you are welcome to prepare or bring your own meals for dinner and breakfast, we also offer a Plan where you can have barbecue ingredients, including meat directly delivered from the local "Hagiwara Meat Shop" to your Room on the day of your stay. For breakfast, we can provide a popular colorful bagel sandwich and drink set at the attached café. Starting November 2024, we have introduced a private sauna, available free of charge for our guests. The "Misa Sauna Stove" used in the sauna is directly imported from Finland. Unlike the high-temperature dry saunas commonly found in Japan, we have adopted a Finnish wet sauna style, where water is poured over heated sauna stones. This gentle and wet Finnish sauna experience can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders. Conveniently located just an 18-minute train ride from Takasaki Station and a 2-minute walk from the station, you can enjoy your stay with peace of mind.
