A historic Ryokan established in the Edo period, located midway along the famous "Stone Steps Street" of Ikaho. The main building is a "Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan." You can choose your Room from the western wing built in 1920 with cypress wood or the western wing renovated into a modern Japanese style. Experience the warmth of cypress and Taisho-era charm alongside our golden hot spring water directly sourced from its origin.
In the wooden main building, constructed from the Taisho era to the early Showa period, each Room features its own unique character and design, offering a calm atmosphere shaped by years of history. At every bath in the Accommodation, enjoy Ikaho’s signature tea-brown hot spring, “Kogane-no-Yu,” with 100% free-flowing natural spring water—no added water and no circulation. In addition to a large public bath and an open-air bath, we also offer private baths that require no Reservation. Some Rooms also let you enjoy free-flowing hot spring water in your guest Room for a stay that suits your style. For dinner, we serve a Japanese kaiseki course featuring seasonal ingredients. Limited to one group per day, so you can relax without worrying about neighbors. Premium timber sourced from Gunma’s Jomo Sanzan mountains soothes both body and mind. Many day-use Onsen are nearby, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. Takasaki, Maebashi, Ikaho, and Haruna are about 25 minutes by car.
