Founded 440 years ago. Our open-air bath, offering sweeping views of the mountain range from the upper floors, is a highlight unique to our Accommodation. We offer three private baths and a wide variety of guest rooms with distinct styles. In Ikaho, we are one of the few hot spring Accommodations where you can enjoy two types of waters: “Kodakara-no-Yu,” traditionally said to be beneficial for women; “Kogane-no-Yu” (Golden Hot Spring), said to be good for recuperation; and “Shirogane-no-Yu” (Silver Hot Spring), said to promote health. Ryokan Tamaki has been in operation for 70 years, during which we have identified three essential elements for a ryokan: friendliness, dignity, and emotion. A property that embraces Japanese sentiment, where you can visit casually and feel at ease. This is the philosophy of Ryokan Tamaki. If you have a regular place to stay, you don't need a villa. Tamaki is a small ryokan, but we provide great relaxation to everyone.

Our Accommodation is a hot-spring inn for guests aged 20 and over.In the early Meiji era, the 14th-generation proprietor, Yoshishige Fukuda, opened a new annex in Ikaho, Joshu—“Oku Ikaho Ryotei Kaichoro”—distinct in character from the family’s long-established Accommodation.In “Kaichoro,” “Kai” signifies tranquility, and “Cho” expresses our wish for guests to spend their time at ease; with this hope, we chose the name.From our carefully crafted cuisine to refined traditional Japanese-style Rooms and high-grade Rooms with an emphasis on design, all Rooms feature a private open-air bath. We also offer a spa and reservable private open-air baths, so you can fully enjoy your stay.

With only 4 rooms, the fewest in Ikaho, our Property ensures a relaxing stay for our guests. Pinon, a Western-style Ryokan, was inspired by my two-and-a-half-year study abroad experience in the UK during my twenties.Since childhood, I dreamed of becoming the proprietress of my family's Ryokan and was preparing for that goal during this time.In Ikaho Onsen, known for its healing waters, there were no accommodations where women could feel safe traveling alone, enjoy a hotel-like relaxing stay, or savor freshly made delicious Western cuisine.If I were to start an accommodation business myself, I wanted to create a place where I would personally love to stay—an accommodation unlike any other.With these thoughts in mind, this Hotel opened its doors in 1997.Since then, we have consistently provided a space where solo travelers or small groups can fully enjoy a private hotel experience,a unique "French-style Kaiseki" meal that can be enjoyed with chopsticks,and complimentary access to private Onsen baths available 24 hours—a hospitality unique to hot spring resorts.This is the perfect Accommodation for women looking to escape daily life and relax at their own pace. The birthplace of the Onsen symbol, Isobe Onsen has been cherished by many poets since the Edo period. This long-established Ryokan embodies Japanese tradition, featuring spacious Japanese-style rooms "Kafukan" built in the Sukiya style, a bicarbonate strong saline cold mineral Onsen known as "Beauty's Bath," seasonal Kaiseki Japanese cuisine using local ingredients, and the popular soft tofu in the Japanese-style breakfast.

We especially recommend the guest rooms with semi-open-air baths, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the townscape of Ikaho and Mount Akagi while soaking in the Onsen. Additionally, the Facility is equipped with private baths, karaoke, manga, mahjong, table tennis, and other entertainment facilities that can be enjoyed for free.
