Ryokan Tamaki has been in operation for 70 years, during which we have identified three essential elements for a ryokan: friendliness, dignity, and emotion. A property that embraces Japanese sentiment, where you can visit casually and feel at ease. This is the philosophy of Ryokan Tamaki. If you have a regular place to stay, you don't need a villa. Tamaki is a small ryokan, but we provide great relaxation to everyone.

A historic Ryokan established in the Edo period, located midway along the famous "Stone Steps Street" of Ikaho. The main building is a "Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan." You can choose your Room from the western wing built in 1920 with cypress wood or the western wing renovated into a modern Japanese style. Experience the warmth of cypress and Taisho-era charm alongside our golden hot spring water directly sourced from its origin.

Founded in the first year of the Meiji era, this renowned hot spring with a 1500-year history is known for its gentle spring quality, soothing the hearts and bodies of its visitors. There are various bath options, including open-air baths, large communal baths, private baths, and rooms with onsen, all of which can be enjoyed with free-flowing hot spring water.It is also known as the inn loved by the poet Noguchi Ujō, and there is a space where you can feel his works and history. Additionally, it is in an excellent location, just a 3-minute walk to the stone steps street, making it convenient for strolling around the onsen town.
