In August 2024, the Property will reopen as "Kumojo no Teishajo," an Onsen Facility accessible by mountain train, featuring an infinity panoramic open-air Onsen, sauna, and a café & bar. At the Resort Hotel within the national park of North Karuizawa, we offer private cottages and maisonette-type Rooms surrounded by rich nature. "Villa Shurin" in North Karuizawa offers private cottages suitable for 2 to 8 guests. Each cottage is fully equipped with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bath & toilet, balcony, and free Wi-Fi. Cooking utensils, tableware, cutlery, and basic seasonings are also provided. The shared Facility includes a private cypress bath "Hitou," a lounge, and a workation booth. BBQ equipment, fire pits (direct fire not allowed), and draft beer servers are also available for rent!

The former Aburaya, which served as a secondary inn in Oiwake-juku on the Nakasendo in Karuizawa, was relocated to its current location in 1938. This Ryokan has been the setting for many literary works, as it was favored by writers and intellectuals such as Tatsuo Hori, Michizo Tachihara, and Shuichi Kato for their writing retreats. In 2012, the building of the former Aburaya Ryokan was restored and reborn as "Aburaya," a place dedicated to "Books and Art Projects." The second floor of the main building now serves as a Property with No Meals Included. Additionally, the Facility offers electric-assist bicycles exclusively for guests (available for an additional fee). You can explore areas such as Old Karuizawa and Naka-Karuizawa, making it an ideal base for your stay.
