Our inn is a hot-spring retreat for guests aged 20 and over.In the early Meiji era, the 14th proprietor, Yoshishige Fukuda, opened a new annex in Ikaho, Joshu—“Oku Ikaho Ryotei Kaichoro”—distinct in style from the family’s long-established inn.In “Kaichoro,” “Kai” signifies tranquility, and “Cho” expresses our wish for guests to spend their time here slowly and at ease; with that hope in mind, we chose this name.From our carefully crafted cuisine to refined pure Japanese-style rooms and high-grade rooms with an emphasis on design, all guest rooms feature a private open-air bath.
