I’ve stayed at Dormy Inn in Nagano and Sendai, and I really liked the large public bath. I’d love to stay at other Dormy Inn locations again.

With Akita Station almost directly connected, I left my luggage before noon and walked to the Prefectural Art Museum and Senshu Park before checking in. There was also a 7-Eleven and a Starbucks on the first floor. The Room was clean and quiet, so I could relax well. On the way back, I took the airport bus, and the bus stop was right in front, which was very convenient.

Since I always end up going to Hokkaido, this was my first stay in Akita. I chose this Hotel because it’s close to the station for riding the Gono Line. Unfortunately, there was torrential rain and the Gono Line was suspended that day, but I’m truly glad I stayed here. All of the staff were pleasant and attentive, with just the right amount of distance. The lounge had a very relaxing atmosphere, and both tea time and cocktail time exceeded my expectations. They had around 10 kinds of local Akita sake, and they mentioned that their recommendations keep increasing over time. There were also shochu, draft beer, bottled beer, sparkling wine, wine, and more. Just as other Reviews said before my trip, everything was delicious—marinated fresh fish, chilled pork shabu-shabu, smoked pickles (iburigakko) with cheese, as well as warm chicken dishes and fish dishes. A lady sitting next to me said she has stayed here many times. It’s close to the station and you can get there without getting wet in the rain. I arrived at 1:00 p.m. planning only to leave my luggage, but they told me my Room was ready so I could check in right away. After that I took a walk around Kubota Castle Ruins and the park right in front of the Hotel, then went back to the station and bought a cute Akita dog T-shirt and tote bag for my grandchild. Breakfast also featured a great selection full of local Akita specialties—kiritanpo and onigiri where you can choose both rice type and fillings—so for the first time in a while I left breakfast completely full. There were still items I didn’t get to try yet, so I’ll be back—and next time I’ll ride the Gono Line.

The Hotel is in a great location, and the Room was very spacious, making our stay comfortable. Akita Station is also nearby, and the Akita Citizen’s Market, where you can shop, is just a short walk away, which made our stay enjoyable. If we have the opportunity, we would definitely like to stay at this Hotel again.

For our stay, we choose a Hotel that offers a non-smoking triple Room. Even when listed as “triple,” many Rooms use an extra bed, but at this Hotel: (1) all beds were the same type, and (2) the Room had two air conditioners. There was an air conditioner by the beds, a partition door for the sleeping area, and the lighting included a night-light mode, so we were able to sleep well. When staying overnight, I often notice the lighting at bedtime, and the lighting here was easy to use. Breakfast was a compact buffet that was easy to serve yourself from, with a good variety of options. My family also liked it. We would like to stay again.

I was able to stay at a very reasonable price. I also stayed on June 26 with a breakfast-included Plan, but it ended up being No Meals Included; this time it was ¥4,000 cheaper than then. The Room had a separate bath and toilet. I checked in at 3:00 PM and was able to relax until 10:30 AM. Since I knew the area from my previous stay, I had breakfast at Akita Citizens’ Market and then headed to my next destination.

Stayed for 2 nights. Despite a significant delay in check-in due to transportation issues, the staff provided courteous assistance. It rained during the stay, but umbrellas were available for borrowing. The breakfast and lounge area was excellent. The design was appealing, there were books available, and the daily-changing breakfast buffet offered a good variety of dishes, making it highly satisfactory.

It was a comfortable Accommodation that could easily cost three times as much in Tokyo.

I’d been vaguely avoiding this place because the exterior looks a bit old, but when I stayed for the first time it was surprisingly comfortable. Some parts of the Facility and layout do feel dated, but amenities and loan items are well stocked, and everything is kept clean, so I had a very pleasant stay. The signage around the property is also easy to understand. I was also happy there was a water dispenser. The front desk staff were good as well—helpful without being overbearing. Since there’s no written note of your Room number (maybe because it’s prepaid?), you might want to take a photo with your phone so you don’t forget it when leaving your key at the desk.

Located in a downtown area, I was unsure at first, but even though I checked in around midnight, the front desk staff kindly assisted me, which made me very happy. The Room was clean, and I was able to sleep well and relax. Breakfast included side dishes unique to Akita and was delicious, and the female staff member was also kind and told me about some tasty local items. I don’t think I’ll be visiting Akita Prefecture again, but if I have friends going to Akita, I would recommend this place without hesitation. Thank you very much.

The Hotel was very clean and there was nothing to complain about, but the refrigerator was next to the pillow, and the motor noise came through directly... That was the only drawback.

I didn't check the details carefully and mistakenly applied for a "Student Discount" Plan. Since I am not eligible for the discount, additional charges were incurred. However, the explanation from the hotel staff was reasonable, and I did not have a bad impression. It would be helpful if an alert appeared during the reservation process on the site. Considering the price, I can't complain about the room, but there were limited lighting options (either too bright or too dim), and while there were no major issues with water facilities, some areas were not very clean.

The property was very clean and well maintained, with a great selection of amenities, making our stay very comfortable. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but there are several convenience stores along the way, which is handy. If we visit Akita again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

I stayed here with my son on a two-person trip. The price was low and breakfast was included, so we were Done. The Facility is old in places and it’s hard to hide, but it felt like they use their budget wisely and make efficient repairs. Some areas, like the wallpaper, didn’t seem fully updated, but the Room we stayed in had a new Panasonic air conditioner installed. The TV had also been replaced with a relatively large Sharp wall-mounted screen, which was great. The toilet was combined with the bath, but it had been replaced with a new TOTO unit. In addition, the room lights and bedside lamp had been replaced with new ones as well, so the key points were well covered. I didn’t expect much from breakfast, but there was a good variety and the quality was better than expected. My son and I really enjoyed it—a pleasant surprise. It was a comfortable Hotel where you can see efforts to improve within their means throughout. I would stay again if I have the chance.

It was a very comfortable Hotel, except that it’s about a 15-minute walk from the station. The Accommodation rate was also very reasonable. Recommended for business travelers. The Room is spacious. The chair is good. The bath is a bit large. The pillow didn’t quite suit me, but overall I was very satisfied.

The Room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable—I’m extremely satisfied. I would like to stay here again.
