With over 160 years of history, enjoy 35 types of baths spread across 1,500 tsubo and five different spring qualities. About 160 years ago, the founder, Kinzo Takimoto, opened Noboribetsu Onsen to cure his wife’s skin condition. The waters passed down since the Edo period continue to soothe guests who come in search of healing even today. We welcome visitors with five spring qualities: sulfur springs, sodium bicarbonate springs, salt springs, Glauber’s salt springs, and acidic green vitriol springs. Japan has only ten recognized spring qualities—half of them can be enjoyed right here at our property. Bath-hopping is a journey of healing. Located near the famous Jigokudani (Hell Valley), this Accommodation is one of the few in Noboribetsu Onsen built directly over a natural hot spring source. Enjoy five rich types of spring water in a variety of baths, all continuously filled with high-quality Onsen water. Meals are served buffet-style with Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes made with Hokkaido ingredients. A kids’ corner is also available, making it recommended for families with children.

Property at Noboribetsu Karurusu Onsen. Enjoy the luxurious flow-through large baths and open-air baths sourced from private hot springs. The water quality is simple onsen, with baths ranging from high to mild temperatures to suit your preference. The 12-tatami Japanese-style room accommodates up to 6 guests, featuring two washbasins, ideal for large groups.

Dining is offered at two venues. “Noboribetsu Onsen Steamed Cuisine Sakurabusa” features set menus that bring out the natural flavor and nutrients of each ingredient, along with a half-buffet of seasonal cold and hot dishes, sweets, and fruit.
