Yufutsu Plain, where wild birds play in the wetlands and lakes are scattered among beautiful coniferous forests. Just a 20-minute drive from New Chitose Airport, Hotel Nidom is nestled in this quintessentially Hokkaido grand nature. "Nidom" means "rich forest" in the Ainu language. The vast property spans approximately 5 million square meters, with a 1.5 km approach leading to the hotel entrance. The grounds feature golf courses designed to harmonize with the natural terrain, cottages set among trees and by lakeshores, two majestic chapels, tennis courts, a pool, and restaurants. The cottages are elegant log houses—29 in total—constructed using Polar Pine logs sourced from Finland's Arctic Circle. These logs have dense fibers and tight growth rings that provide exceptional elasticity and durability. Having endured harsh Nordic winters, Polar Pine is both flexible and highly earthquake-resistant.The cottages are located around serene Lake Tomtom with its calm waters surrounded by larch and fir conifers interspersed with broadleaf trees such as beech, birch, and maple. Clear streams flow into the lake with soothing sounds of water while birdsong echoes through the trees. This tranquil natural setting offers an unparalleled cottage life experience—a hallmark of Hotel Nidom’s finest hospitality...
