The 125-square-meter, two-story Room combines the traditional machiya architecture from the Taisho era with modern design. As you step up from the Kyoto-style earthen floor into the living room, a unique transparent-floored tea room appears, creating a sense of openness and enveloping you in the warm, traditional Kyoto atmosphere. Beyond the living room and Japanese-style Room, there are two distinctive baths. The original Shigaraki ware ceramic bath retains heat well, warming you to the core.
