Hidden Retreat Shirakawa Gensen Sanso Takefue is set on an expansive 5,000-tsubo property, featuring only 12 private villas and a spa building, along with 30 natural hot spring baths flowing directly from our own sources. All guest rooms are designed in a modern Japanese style and include an irori (traditional sunken hearth), tatami room, and indoor bath. Eight of the villas also offer open-air baths over 5 meters in size, blending beautifully with the surrounding nature. Meals are served in the comfort of your room at the irori for both dinner and breakfast. In a place where you can witness the most beautiful moon in Japan, we envisioned creating a hidden retreat, and that dream led us to the serene forest of Kurokawa Onsen. "Kurokawa Onsen Gokoro Tsukikouju" is a Property where you can enjoy moonlight bathing in an open-air Onsen, while gazing at the moon shining in the sky. On a vast 4,500-tsubo estate, there are only eight villas. Each Room is uniquely designed and decorated, filled with delightful surprises. With the sound of the wind through the forest and the chirping of birds as your background music, surround yourself with only what you love and what is delicious, and indulge in the comfort of letting time flow naturally. Kurokawa Onsen boasts the largest open-air bath, "Senninburo," which is truly impressive. Additionally, there are six types of private baths, including the 150cm deep "Tachiyu" and the "Kuriburo" carved from a large rock, all available 24 hours. A dedicated property for dogs, "Wanpakutei," and a special bath for dogs are also provided.

Nestled in the mountains, there is only one "Tengawa Sansou." With a spacious property of approximately 6000 tsubo, this accommodation welcomes only seven groups of guests per day. Enjoy high-quality onsen, carefully selected seasonal flavors, and memorable moments with your loved ones, relaxing and unwinding in the serene Aso forest, away from the mundane world.

Our story began when an Onsen sprang forth after we dug at a place seen in a dream. We named it “Yume no Yu” and started with a single small inn—this is the origin of our Accommodation (Oda Onsen). Also enshrined here to this day is the “Ryujin Tree” (dragon-shaped tree roots), which was also seen in that same dream. A small rural farming village has since become a mountain Onsen retreat. Why not come and experience this mysterious Onsen, said to hold an uncanny power?

Our facility features only 10 Rooms on a vast property. The Rooms are detached and include open-air baths. Meals are served in private dining rooms for both breakfast and dinner. Two private baths along the stream allow for a stay that prioritizes privacy.
