To the east you can see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge; straight ahead, the Ieshima Islands; beyond them, Awaji Island; and to the west, Shodoshima Island. The large public bath’s open-air bath also offers sweeping views of the Seto Inland Sea and a spacious tub for a wonderfully open, relaxing soak. A highlight is the rare low-temperature salt sauna—rub Ako salt onto your skin to promote perspiration—which is especially popular.
