Kinosaki Onsen, with a history of 1300 years since its opening. The willow-lined Otani River flows through the center of the town, accompanied by stone bridges. In the heart of this charming Onsen town lies Nishimuraya Honkan. Passing through the grand traditional gate, you are greeted by the faint aroma of incense. The 34 Rooms face the garden, showcasing the serene beauty of Japanese-style aesthetics. In addition to the private bathrooms in each Room, there are large communal baths and open-air baths, each with unique designs, including the Azumaya-style "Yoshinoyu" nestled in a bamboo grove and the Chinese pavement-style "Fukunoyu." The views from the rooms truly deserve to be called the best seats in Kinosaki. Following the renovation, the property now includes penthouse suites with bedrooms wrapped in washi paper, a serene lobby finished with earthen walls, and carefully selected tea ware from regional kilns placed in each room—wherever you look, you’ll feel the beauty of traditional Japanese aesthetics.
