The name of our accommodation, "Tanigawa no Yu Asebino," is derived from the abundance of Japanese andromeda (asebi) in this region. The flower language of asebi is "Let's travel together." Loved by many literary figures since 1954 and known as a writers’ inn, the property has a calm, refined atmosphere. All Onsen baths—including the bath in your Room—are free-flowing directly from the source. After soaking in our open-air stone bath made from 53 tons of lava rock or our open-air wooden bath carved from a 1,200-year-old tree, enjoy our signature dishes featuring fresh seafood and mountain produce from Izu.
