The historic registered cultural property “Shokenro” is a three-story wooden folk-art Accommodation built in the early Showa era. In a retro setting adorned with tasteful furniture and folk crafts, each of the 17 guest rooms has its own distinct character—making it a delight to find your favorite hidden retreat. Our facility is a membership-based villa resort. On specific dates, non-members can also use it. The Property offers 13 Rooms in total, including five types such as Rooms with open-air baths, traditional Japanese-style Rooms, and modern Japanese-Western Rooms, catering to diverse travel needs. The Onsen features natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source, allowing you to indulge in the "healing waters" cherished since the Heian period. "Tateshina BASE" also serves as a multi-purpose tourist Facility. It features five dining options, including a bakery, vegan burger shop, and a yakiniku bar specializing in Tateshina beef (adjacent).
