“Sawando” means “a place where rivers meet.” In December 1998, Onsen water was brought to this area—long used as a gateway to Kamikochi—and Sawando Onsen was born. Our inn opened five years later, in July 2003. Surrounded by mountains and little else, Keiryuso Shiorie warmly welcomes you. Oyado Kodama is a small Onsen Accommodation with just seven rooms. Relax in a quiet setting with clear mountain air and views of Mt. Norikura in the distance. From summer to autumn, it’s an ideal base for trekking and sightseeing around Mt. Norikura, and in winter you can enjoy skiing. Highlights include 100% natural hot spring baths fed directly from the source and homemade meals featuring local ingredients. It is also conveniently located about 20 minutes by car from Sawando Bus Terminal, the gateway to the Kamikochi area.
