Yudanaka Onsen · Shibu Onsenkyo · Yamada Onsen × Accommodation With OnigiriRecommended Hotel·Ryokan

A traditional Sukiya-style accommodation with 5 rooms, each featuring a private open-air bath, opening on March 1, 2024.Here, you can relax to your heart's content. As an annex of the historic "Shinshu Yudanaka Onsen Yorozuya," which has been welcoming guests since the Edo Kansei era, this new accommodation will be reborn on March 1, 2024. The previous Matsusho-so was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2003 and cherished by many until it was lost to fire in 2021. Despite this loss, with encouragement from numerous supporters, we are proud to announce its revival as the new "Matsusho-so" on March 1, 2024. The building incorporates design elements of the original Matsusho-so while embracing traditional Sukiya architecture that harmonizes with nature. Each room features a private open-air bath overlooking a small garden where guests can enjoy seasonal landscapes. We have created a space that feels "new yet somehow nostalgic." We look forward to welcoming you warmly at this new location. Selected for the Michelin Key Hotel Selection 2025: "1 MICHELIN Key 2025."

The Japanese garden with only 6 properties offers a relaxing space illuminated by over 100 soft lamps. All guests are gifted 30 minutes of free private bath use, ensuring a private stay. Enjoy the Yudanaka Onsen, which opened approximately 1350 years ago. Meals feature colorful kaiseki cuisine centered on seasonal ingredients from Shinshu, with Shinshu brand beef raised on apples as the main dish.
