I have stayed here several times. Every visit, I’m impressed by the warm service, the simple and spotless Room, and the soothing greenery—my satisfaction is always extremely high at this Hotel. While service standards at Hotels across Japan have been declining due to staff shortages, this Hotel continues to uphold the tradition of classic hospitality and could serve as a model for Hotel professionals nationwide. I would love to visit again next summer.

Close to the station, clean, and I was very satisfied with the service. We also enjoyed the welcome drink and breakfast, and I think this price is an excellent value! The male staff member at the front desk was kind and courteous, and I will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Having visited Yoko no Kaze before, we stayed here this year. Our family has grown, and our daughter-in-law joined us as well. They kindly prepared Rooms next to each other for us. At Kumoba Terrace, we took our time enjoying alcohol and fresh juice, and the lit bonfire and birch forest were truly soothing. In the spacious, clean Room, we relaxed in the Onsen brought from Ueda City. The cuisine was outstanding—seasonal and beautifully presented. We enjoyed everything from the scallop takikomi rice to dessert, though the portions were a bit large for me. As it was our daughter-in-law’s birthday month, we requested a surprise message plate. She was very happy, which made us glad as well. Thanks to the thoughtful staff, we were able to add another precious family memory. Thank you very much.

This was our first time staying with our Toy Poodle. The amenities, dog run, and photo spots were irresistible for dog lovers. Everything was clean, and there were no unpleasant odors. Above all, the Hotel staff were kind. With their pleasant greetings and helpful support when we needed it, the atmosphere was wonderful, and we would definitely like to stay again.

I stayed here on the recommendation of an acquaintance who has visited Karuizawa many times. It was just a few minutes’ walk to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza, so it was very convenient for exploring the area. The Room and the large public bath were both spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I really enjoyed both meals—they were delicious. I requested the Shuttle Service, and the vehicle was clean and the ride was excellent. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been even more comfortable if the TV supported network features. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Karuizawa.

We’re both not good with the summer heat, so we were a little worried about traveling in midsummer, but it was truly comfortable, and my wife said for the first time that she wants to come back! This was my third stay. It’s conveniently located near Karuizawa Station, making it easy to go anywhere. There’s a convenience store and a small supermarket right in front, so you won’t have any trouble with quick shopping. The Room is always clean and well maintained, and I had another very comfortable stay this time. The front desk staff provide calm, understated service, but they are very kind and keep a pleasant sense of distance. The lounge offers coffee, tea, and more, and you can relax in the spacious area. It seems a bar has recently opened as well, so I’d like to try it next time. I think this Hotel is easy to use for both solo stays and family trips. My elderly mother also really likes it and says she wants to stay at this Hotel again on our next visit to Karuizawa. Considering the location, cleanliness, comfort, and Accommodation Fee, I’m very satisfied. I think it’s a great value Hotel. I’d love to stay again.

This was a repeat stay following last year. Last year, the Room felt slightly more spacious, so I assumed it had been upgraded. This time, it was the Room I reserved, but it didn’t feel cramped at all. I rented a massage chair and a foot massager, so the area around the desk became difficult to walk through, but that was on me and not an issue. I was able to relax. I was also impressed by the number of power outlets. I also enjoyed breakfast at a leisurely pace—it was delicious. Thank you very much.

I live not too far from Karuizawa. A friend from Tokyo really wanted to spend some quiet, relaxing time in Karuizawa, so we stayed there together. It feels like an Accommodation that combines the best of both a Hotel and a rental villa. The staff may feel politely hands-off at times, but if you ask, they respond with genuine care. Shuttle Service from Karuizawa Station is also available, so if you need it, it’s best to inquire and Reserve in advance. Although it’s close to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza, you can step just a little way off the main road and escape the crowds. I also saw guests staying solo who spent their time reading throughout their stay. Rather than coming for a typical Hotel experience, you’ll appreciate this place most if you stay here to enjoy your own time. At check-in, we received lounge vouchers worth 1,000 yen per person. We had planned to have dinner at a restaurant outside and didn’t find anything we wanted at the shop. When I asked at the front desk, they suggested having homemade ginger ale in our Room after dinner. You order it at the front desk and bring it back yourself, but it was a great suggestion. If I have friends who want to stay in Karuizawa again, this is a Hotel I would recommend.

This was our first stay here on a golf trip to Karuizawa. It’s a small three-story Hotel, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a twin Room, and it was spacious with a mini-kitchen and living area, which was great. We had gelato after our bath, and it was delicious. Our family of three was very satisfied.

This is a very comfortable and pleasant Hotel. The Hotel is located right in the center of Old Karuizawa, within an easy and enjoyable walking distance for an early-morning breakfast. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, always with a smile. We were upgraded as there was availability, and they even let us check the Room before check-in. There are chairs along the corridor leading to the lobby, making it a nice spot to sit and relax. Thanks to everyone on the staff, we were able to enjoy a truly relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

I was a bit worried after reading the Reviews, but it turned out to be a great value Hotel. The building is old, but it was well cleaned, and the view from the window was nice. In the lounge, you can enjoy coffee and house wine, and dinner was a set course meal. It’s simple French cuisine, but I felt it was very reasonably priced to have meals included at this rate (it may have been an especially good Plan by chance). Since I stayed for work, this Hotel offered excellent satisfaction for the price. Of course, I wouldn’t really recommend it to those looking for a luxury Hotel, but I highly recommend it for groups of friends or families who want a good-value stay. I’d love to stay again.

I stayed at Hotel WELLIES, and it was a very warm and welcoming Hotel overall. The welcome tea had a wonderful aroma, and I felt relaxed as soon as I arrived. The manager was also incredibly kind, and I felt at ease throughout my stay. This time, they prepared a Room on the second floor for us, and thoughtfully ensured there were no other guests in the Rooms next to ours. That consideration left a strong impression on me. The bedding was truly fluffy and comfortable, so I was able to rest well. It was also great that Harunire Terrace is nearby, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We visited from Kashiwa in Chiba and arrived in 2 hours 58 minutes—being able to get there in under three hours was another plus. I visited with my wife, had a wonderful time, and it was a stay that made us want to come back again. I sincerely appreciate the manager’s hospitality. I would also like to thank the international staff member who served our meals and kindly assisted us. Thank you for such a lovely time.

This summer, we decided to travel from hot Tokyo to Karuizawa, and while searching for a Hotel, we found HACIENDA, which had just opened, and stayed there. It’s directly connected to the station, which is very convenient. As soon as we stepped inside, it was quiet and beautifully designed; the warmth and scent of the wood were truly soothing. The Room was clean, spotless, and spacious—an extremely comfortable space. The welcome herbal tea was delicious. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly. The amenities were also so cute that they lifted my mood. We could use the adjacent spa and lounge as many times as we wanted during our stay—what a wonderful Accommodation perk! My husband said the sauna and bath were amazing and went in again and again. We’ve been saying as a couple, “We want to make this our go-to place for summer trips.” Not only in summer—we’d love to visit again in a different season. All of the staff were kind with just the right level of attentiveness. I usually get tired from staying at Hotels, but here I was able to relax without feeling drained. I stayed for business, but during a refreshing walk I came across a large supermarket and was happy to unexpectedly buy lots of local souvenirs. It seems there are also lovely shops and museums nearby, so next time I’d like to visit for sightseeing. Thank you again.
