A long-established Ryokan beloved since the Edo period as an Onsen Accommodation—so renowned it even appears in ukiyo-e prints by Utagawa Hiroshige. From meetings between Takayoshi Kido and Takamori Saigo to a stay by Bunroku Shishi, leading figures of the Meiji era once gathered here.
