Its history dates back to the Nara period, making it one of Japan's three oldest hot springs. With an abundant flow rate of 5 tons per minute, the water is drawn up from 50 meters underground. At Hotel Palm Spring, our hinoki cypress bath takes full advantage of this abundant flow, offering a luxurious 100% natural free-flowing Onsen without circulation or filtration systems. Although the bath is modest in size, accommodating about 10 people, the bathtub filled with this exceptional Onsen water was crafted by "Hinokisouken," the same company that constructed the footbath for the 2008 Hokkaido Toyako Summit. The hot spring source is a mixed spring containing three types of components, classified as a hypotonic, mildly alkaline, high-temperature spring. Additionally, it exhibits an extremely high reduction potential, which is expected to help prevent skin aging (anti-aging effects).
