A quiet, relaxing Hotel with just 10 Rooms. The Rooms are spacious, and the staff are wonderful. Of course, the Japanese-Western fusion cuisine is truly satisfying—you can taste the quality of the ingredients. Location: Very convenient and close to Hakodate’s highlights (Ropeway [Mt. Hakodate] to historic buildings [Motomachi] to the Bay Area, etc.). *Some guests may notice minor details, but for us (an elderly couple), it was a very satisfying stay. *Thank you very much.

This was my first trip to Hakodate. There is only one direct flight a day from Nagoya, and I was incredibly lucky to get a ticket. Visiting a new place for the first time is so exciting. The Room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a panoramic view of Mt. Hakodate. The space was generous, and the bathtub and sink were spacious as well. The lighting switches were thoughtfully placed throughout, making everything very convenient—it was almost too comfortable! Dinner at Kita Jin (booked separately) was also excellent: premium Genghis Khan in a private room, relaxed and delicious. Breakfast was around 8:00, and we were seated right away. We came without much prior knowledge and were amazed by the variety—and even more by the quality of every dish. My spouse and I travel all over the whole country, and this may have been our best breakfast ever. Personally, I loved the eel snack with tea, dim sum, sashimi, chiffon cake, and egg tarts. What stayed with us most from this trip was meeting so many wonderful people in Hakodate: The kind driver with a great smile on the airport limousine bus. At lunchtime at Lucky Pierrot near the station—busy as it was—a female staff member still let us draw an Ichiban Kuji lottery ticket and gave us a pin badge with a big smile. At NIPPONIA Hotel Hakodate Port Town on our first day—a female staff member kindly explained everything and gave us a hand-drawn illustrated map of nearby spots within walking distance. On an evening sightseeing taxi tour to see Mt. Hakodate’s night view—a female driver born in Hakodate from Donan Taxi carefully explained local history, the Western-style houses in Motomachi, and the origins of Soma-tei. The staff who made our motorboat cruise even more enjoyable under clear skies the next day. At lunch near the station at Uni Specialty Shop Yoichiya—a female employee whose attentiveness and refined service truly impressed us. And above all, at Century Marina’s front desk—the female staff member who kindly explained everything for our first stay left a wonderful impression with her polite service; of course, the male staff member at checkout was also outstanding. The quick yet courteous service at Kita Jin was excellent as well—we are truly grateful to have stayed at this Hotel. It was an intense 2-night/3-day trip to Hakodate, but seeing everyone working so hard to make their city shine really moved us—it looked genuinely inspiring. We will definitely come again. I truly fell in love with historic Hakodate from the bottom of my heart!

Both breakfast and dinner were exceptionally delicious, and we were completely satisfied. The view from the lounge was wonderful. From the in-room scenic bath, we could look out over the sea, and from the living area we could see airplanes up close. In the open-air bath of the large public bath, we could look up at planes just before landing, and were truly impressed by how powerful it was. We look forward to visiting again next year after the renovations are completed.

We arrived by taxi from Hakodate Airport. There is also a bus stop within walking distance, which is convenient. The meals were plentiful, and the squid in particular was delicious. It’s best not to expect much in terms of the view from the Room. There are two convenience stores nearby, and the refrigerator was empty so we could use it freely. The Onsen was excellent, with smooth, light water. Everyone—from the front desk to meal service and futon setup—was friendly and always smiling, which was wonderful. We will stay here again when we visit Hakodate.

I stayed for five nights and was able to relax in the Onsen. I love the atmosphere of Hakodate and visit a few times a year. I used to regularly stay at S or R near the warehouse district, but after trying this Hotel, I found it very reasonably priced and the breakfast (both Japanese and Western) was excellent. The staff were also very kind, which made me feel at ease. The large public bath has free-flowing natural hot spring water, and there is also a sauna—no wonder it’s becoming so popular. I will be staying again from October 4th to 8th.

Although we stayed for only one night, it was a very comfortable Accommodation. The room was thoroughly cleaned, and in addition to the amenities, there was a good selection of tea and mineral water provided, which made our stay very pleasant. (Filling up water at the washbasin can take away from the travel mood a bit.) When we visit Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen again, we would love to stay here again.

This is a quiet, relaxing Accommodation overlooking the Tsugaru Strait. The meals were especially delicious, with each dish carefully prepared. The tableware also reflected the value and tradition of a Ryokan. With heartfelt service, it was a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

We stayed as three generations. First of all, the staff’s hospitality was outstanding, and we felt comfortable from arrival to departure. The shaved ice service also delighted the kids. If I had to ask for one thing, I would have been even happier with a few more welcome drink options. The meals were delicious with a nice contrast between dinner and breakfast. We also really enjoyed the table tennis. The Onsen was relaxing, and the view from our Room was soothing as well. Even though we made a mistake during the Reservation process, we truly appreciate how kindly you handled everything after we contacted you in advance. And with two meals included, this price range for this season offers excellent value for money.

My daughter and I took a whirlwind 24-hour trip to Hakodate. Even with limited time to spend at the Hotel, we enjoyed wonderful meals, an Onsen, and a Room with an amazing location. It was a truly lovely Hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, with a wide variety of options—everything was delicious, and we ended up eating far too much. We used the large public bath, and the view from the open-air bath in the morning was incredible. Since we checked in after sunset, it was pitch-dark outside when we arrived, but once daylight came, the view from the window took our breath away. As far as the eye could see was ocean—an unforgettable sight for someone who doesn’t live near the sea. The staff included many young people and international team members, and everyone treated us sincerely and with warm smiles, making our stay truly comfortable. The only disappointment was that our stay was far too short. Hakodate is quite far for us so we can’t visit often, but next time we’d like to stay at least two nights.

Since we didn’t rent a car this time, we traveled by bus from Hakodate Station, but it was only a 3-minute walk from Tropical Botanical Garden-mae, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. A friend said the interior and the Room were far better than you’d ever imagine from the exterior. I believe I made a Reservation for the cheapest Room type, but to my surprise we were upgraded to what seemed like one of the best Rooms. It was a wonderful, spacious Room with a very comfortable sofa where we could truly relax. If I have the chance to visit again, I’d like to make a Reservation for the best Type A Room. I was looking forward to enjoying sparkling wine in the lounge, Hakodate milk soft-serve ice cream, and Misuzu Coffee—and they even had watermelon as well, which made me really happy. The soft-serve was unbelievably delicious. I don’t usually drink coffee, but Misuzu Coffee is so good that I decided to have it while in Hakodate. Being able to enjoy it as many times as you like until 10:00 p.m. is much appreciated—though my friend mentioned that in the morning there was only Misuzu Coffee. The bath is available even late at night, which is also very helpful. Even if you fall asleep after dinner and drinks, it’s great to be able to wake up and take a bath during the night. Dinner was an omakase sushi course that included fugu tatsuta-age; between the tuna selections and seasonal sushi, everything was satisfying and enjoyable. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options—I especially loved the soup curry. Overall, I think this is an excellent Accommodation with courteous front desk staff and a very positive impression. Just one thing: many Hotels these days provide deodorizing sprays, but I’m sensitive to fragrances—so I would prefer not having them in the Room or used during bed-making.

This time we stayed in the VIP Room and enjoyed the premium kaiseki dinner course. The Room was very spacious, the garden was beautifully maintained, and the private open-air bath attached to the Room was excellent. All of the staff who assisted us were very kind, and every dinner dish was carefully prepared and truly delicious. Breakfast seemed to be the same for all courses, but since we can’t eat much in the morning, we personally appreciated that it was on the lighter side. We also visited the large public bath, but we noticed towels left at washing stations that were not being used and some guests reserving spots. We think it would be even better if there were guidance on how to use the facilities in languages other than Japanese. Access was convenient—about a 7-minute walk to the streetcar stop. By taxi or car, you can reach major sightseeing spots in about 15 minutes, so if you don’t have a car, using both the streetcar and taxis makes it easy to get around. It was a 5-minute drive from the airport, so being able to leave our luggage before/after our stay was very convenient. If we have another opportunity, we would love to stay again for about two nights in a VIP Room with the premium dining course. Thank you very much.

The calm interior design and lighting made it very relaxing. The Onsen has a kind of neo-classical feel—like a stylish hot-spring retreat. It was a little disappointing that there wasn’t a fully open-air bath. The haskap-infused water in the post-bath lounge was delicious. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets seemed thoughtfully planned, and I was very satisfied. In particular, the raclette at dinner and having vinegared rice for the seafood bowl at breakfast were great.

We stayed here for a family trip with relatives. It’s conveniently located right in front of the highway bus stop. It’s a bit far from central Hakodate, but it’s only about 15 minutes by bus. The Room was nice, and the seafood meals were especially outstanding—our older relatives were delighted. The bath had wonderful water and we really enjoyed it; they said they would definitely like to stay again. We felt it was the perfect place to relax and recover from fatigue. Thank you very much.

I chose the Onuma Prince Hotel for my friend visiting from afar. They were delighted, saying they could relax, fully enjoy the Onsen, and sleep well—it was wonderful. I’m grateful for the staff’s warm smiles and kind service.

I stayed here to visit Hakodate Racecourse. I stayed last year as well and it was excellent, so this was a repeat visit. Among the major Hotels in Yunokawa Onsen, this one seems to be the closest to the racecourse. It’s about a 15-minute walk, and there’s also a streetcar, so it’s convenient for getting into the city. There are also a convenience store, COOP supermarket, and drugstore nearby. In any case, there are very few Rooms, so it never feels crowded. The large public bath is also quiet. Since it is connected to the neighboring Takubokutei, you can also use Takubokutei’s large public bath and shop. (Guests staying at Takubokutei cannot use Kaikyo no Kaze.) The Room is simply spacious—comfortable even with the standard type. This time I chose a Room with a private bath, and that bath was outstanding: spacious with great Onsen water quality. Having two sinks was also very convenient. Even the tissue box was full-size like at home. The only disappointment was that both the Room window and the bathroom window were dirty, so I couldn’t clearly enjoy the view through them. Since I was on a high floor, cleaning the windows may be difficult, but I had been looking forward to “a panoramic view of the Tsugaru Strait,” so it fell slightly short of expectations. This time I booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, and both meals were truly excellent. There were plenty of Hokkaido ingredients with lots of variety on the menu—including several kinds of desserts—and I ate so much that I didn’t need lunch afterward. Meal times were scheduled in advance as well, so there was no crowding. Next year I’d like to stay again with my daughter—the three of us together. Also starting next year my son is scheduled to be transferred to Sapporo, so I’d like to recommend it to him too.

The stylish interior in this historic building was wonderful! The Hotel had a great atmosphere that truly reflects its heritage. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The shower was incredibly cool! (LOL) The location is also perfect—right in the heart of the sightseeing area with excellent access. Lucky Pierrot and Hasegawa Store are right next door, Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are just nearby, and Mt. Hakodate is only a short walk away—nothing to complain about. I’d definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

We booked four Rooms for our family, and both the beds and toilets were spotlessly clean. The staff and housekeeping team were very friendly, so we had a wonderful time. The bath water was a bit hot—maybe because it’s free-flowing hot spring water… I almost felt lightheaded, but it was very relaxing. I wish the women’s bath were a little cooler so I could soak more slowly. The welcome coffee was excellent, and I ended up having refills several times. The morning rice balls were also delicious, and I enjoyed them with warm tea. I used to live very close to the Yunokawa tram stop when I was little, so staying at this Hotel nearby made me feel nostalgic. Thank you for taking such good care of us—I’d love to come again.

There are often spots that get missed around the bathroom and in the corners of the Room, but this was the first time I’ve stayed in a Room that was cleaned so thoroughly. The staff member in charge of cleaning that day did an excellent job. Thank you very much. If I had to mention one thing, it would be nice to have a trash bin near the utility area.

We stayed here for a celebration, and the meals, room, and service were all excellent—our whole family was very happy. If I had to ask for one thing, it would be perfect if both large public baths had an open-air bath and a sauna. Still, the in-room open-air bath was amazing—I even enjoyed it alone with a beer! The celebration cake, the drinks and sweets in the lounge, dinner and breakfast, and all the complimentary items and beverages were wonderful. The guest of honor—and our entire family—were truly impressed. Next time, I’d love to bring my parents as well; we look forward to staying with you again then.

This Accommodation was even more wonderful than I had imagined from the website. The furniture choices and layout were excellent. There were plenty of amenities, towels, and tableware provided, so we were able to stay very comfortably. The free-flowing natural hot spring bath was also incredibly relaxing. Since the tub is large and holds a lot of water, adjusting the temperature was a bit difficult—that would be my only minor drawback. During our stay there was a minor issue with the building, but I believe it was handled appropriately in the end. When I visit Hakodate again, I would love to stay here again.
