Everything—from the staff and guest rooms to the meals—was perfectly balanced and very comfortable. The staff were friendly without being intrusive, and we had a wonderful time. It would not be an exaggeration to say this was one of the best Hotels we have ever stayed at. Thank you very much.

This is a very nice Hotel where you can fully enjoy the great nature of Lake Akan. The woody interior seems to have been recently renovated and is very relaxing. There is coffee service in the lobby, and luggage storage is done by placing your bags in a locker after setting your own code. We splurged on a better Room and it had an outstanding view, plenty of space, and even a microwave. Breakfast was excellent—as you’d expect in Hokkaido—not only seafood but also pizza and hamburgers, plus smoothies. We also heard we could use the baths at the main building of the same Tsuruga group, so we went there. There is a shuttle bus, but it’s about a 7-minute walk along the lakeside. The baths at the main building were incredibly luxurious.

It was a wonderful Hotel nestled in nature. We relaxed on the garden hammock and enjoyed the outdoors both day and night. The basement gift shop and game corner were also fun! The bath was excellent, and we enjoyed a leisurely, filling meal with our family.

In a quiet location, the Room’s Onsen is also free-flowing, and bathing while feeling close to nature is wonderfully refreshing. Because it was the Obon season, there were no vacancies in the Room we wanted, and both the large public bath and the post-bath lounge area were crowded, which was a bit tiring. However, for a popular Accommodation at this price point, that’s understandable. Overall, we were very satisfied considering the cost. The front desk staff and the service during meals were excellent. The relaxation staff at the spa provided highly skilled treatments that felt great.

I’ve traveled to Akan several times, but this was my first stay at this Accommodation. It has the feel of a long-established property, and the staff were calm, courteous, and kind. I was satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. The Onsen was very pleasant as well, but the sauna was too hot—right when I stepped in, I burned the soles of my feet. I had been looking forward to it, so it was a bit disappointing.

The Room felt spacious and open, and we were able to fully enjoy Hokkaido’s great natural scenery. The meals were also very delicious. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Next time, I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay!

There are many sightseeing spots nearby, and I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights last year. This year, I stayed for three nights and visited various places such as Abashiri, Shiretoko, and Kushiro. The rooms are mainly on the second floor, while the first floor includes a living room, laundry area, and dining space, making it very convenient to use. Each guest is provided with their own entrance key, allowing freedom in returning at any time. A Seicomart is located nearby, and light cooking can be done on the first floor with available utensils and a microwave. Reservations offer options between private rooms or shared rooms. The facility is affordable yet well-equipped—perfect as a base for sightseeing. I look forward to staying here again someday!

First stay. Everything was average, neither good nor bad. I used the onsen late at night and early in the morning, and it was empty, so I had it all to myself. The water temperature was perfect, and I was very satisfied. It was disappointing that there was no shop and the selection of souvenirs was limited.

Recommended by a gourmet friend, I stayed at this accommodation. Having lived in Eastern Hokkaido before, I had visited the surrounding area often but was not very familiar with Lake Kussharo. Curious about the place, I decided to visit and was immediately impressed by the stunning mountain views from the lodge. The rare snowfall for this region added to its charm this year. The experience of checking in via canoe or snowshoe from Lake Kussharo was truly memorable. The accommodation building featured facilities such as a sauna, cold bath, and barrel bath. It was delightful to cool off while enjoying the snowy scenery after using the sauna. For the first time, I also experienced tending a fireplace with firewood, which allowed me to spend mindful and relaxing moments. The meals were Chinese-inspired cuisine and absolutely delicious! The chef skillfully prepared luxurious ingredients like abalone and shark fin for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you for kindly preparing additional mapo tofu as well—it was fantastic! Breakfast was equally exceptional. While having dinner, it started snowing outside; we appreciated how staff thoughtfully cleared snow just before we returned to our room in the accommodation building. Although it would be nice if improvements could be made regarding some minor points—such as whether or not the baths are onsen or addressing slight odors in rooms with toilets and showers—the overall experience far outweighed these small concerns. It left such an impression that I ended up making a summer reservation before leaving! This place is truly remarkable—I look forward to visiting again during another season for more unique experiences. Thank you so much for providing such precious memories!

A lovely pension by Lake Kussharo. The highlight is the hard French bread, which rivals those from famous city bakeries. The meals were impressively delicious, especially considering they are self-taught, and I appreciated that proper tea was served alongside coffee. The onsen with an open-air bath was excellent. Kotan no Yu was also nearby. Although we couldn't secure a canoe reservation during the busy Obon season this time, we look forward to enjoying the enchanting winter canoe tour in the future.
