I am truly grateful to all the staff. The Room was very clean, featuring tatami flooring with a bed, separate toilet, and shower. There was a desk and chair by the window where I could enjoy stunning sunsets and sunrises while sipping coffee or tea at my leisure, leaving me feel

Upon arrival, the parking lot was already full, which showed how popular this place is. The front desk staff were efficient, and we quickly checked in and enjoyed a welcome drink. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, which we thoroughly enjoyed! Everything was delicious.

I received a very polite email saying it was possible and that they would be happy to welcome us, which truly moved me. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was the most satisfying open-air-bath Room I have ever stayed in. Overall, it was spacious enough, and the toi

We enjoyed an extraordinary getaway to the fullest, watching the sun set into the sea from our Room and gazing at the starry sky while soaking in the in-room Onsen. The meals were delicious and we were able to enjoy them at a relaxed pace, and we could tell that great care was taken with Room cleaning and amenities. We would love to visit again.

The staff provided excellent service, making my stay very comfortable. Despite my sudden request, they prepared a birthday gift for my mother and even offered rice ball souvenirs for those checking out early in the morning. Their thoughtfulness was truly touching—thank you so

The hotel staff were incredibly kind and attentive, allowing me to relax completely. Dinner featured delicious dishes made with fresh local ingredients, and the shirasu rice for breakfast was exceptional. It was a clean and spacious hotel where my friend and I fully enjoyed our l

This is a very nice Hotel where you can fully enjoy the great nature of Lake Akan. The woody interior seems to have been recently renovated and is very relaxing. There is coffee service in the lobby, and luggage storage is done by placing your bags in a locker after setting your own code. We splurged on a better Room and it had an outstanding view, plenty of space, and even a microwave. Breakfast was excellent—as you’d expect in Hokkaido—not only seafood but also pizza and hamburgers, plus smoothies. We also heard we could use the baths at the main building of the same Tsuruga group, so we went there. There is a shuttle bus, but it’s about a 7-minute walk along the lakeside. The baths at the main building were incredibly luxurious.

The Room, bath, and meals were all wonderful, and we were very satisfied. However, the Wi-Fi listed was not accessible at all, so I think it needs improvement. Still, we treated it as a digital detox and were able to relax. Thank you for your hospitality.

From 3 PM, we enjoyed a relaxing time at the lounge with alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and snacks. Dinner included free drinks, and the buffet offered a variety of dishes that were satisfying. We could also enjoy alcoholic beverages and soft drinks at the lounge until 11 PM.

From check-in through meals, one attendant took care of us throughout, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. The food was delicious, and we were very satisfied with the in-Room bath and the sauna as well. The sake tasting in the storehouse was also a lot of fun. We also

With my husband away on Father’s Day, I planned a surprise Onsen trip a week early. I decided the day before, but luckily I was able to Reserve. The Room was very spacious for two, and my husband seemed pleased with the open view. The meals were also delicious. During dinner, we came across a beautiful sunset and watched it until it set. We also enjoyed table tennis and tried billiards for the first time, making our time after dinner just as fun. The night sky from the open-air bath was filled with shining stars—truly beautiful—and we were glad to have such great weather. With an 11:00 check-out the next day, we relaxed until it was time to leave, and we both felt refreshed and fulfilled. The surprise was a success! Next time, we’d like to visit as a family with our children who are currently living on their own. Thank you very much for everything.

The staff provided excellent service from start to finish, offering the highest level of hospitality. Thank you very much. Dinner featured fresh seafood, and the hot pot was rich in flavor, allowing us to fully enjoy the essence of Kyoto cuisine. The shirasu rice cooked in a

The proprietress’s homemade plum wine, tokoroten, and wakame furikake were also delicious. It felt like a real treat. The Onsen was very relaxing too. I wondered whether it could be seen from outside, but there are blinds. There is complimentary service of two cups of coffee. I

I stayed here after hiking Mount Bandai. I was looking for an accommodation with a good view and reasonable price. As mentioned in other reviews, the view of Lake Inawashiro was excellent, and the facility was clean and comfortable. Before my stay, the staff kindly provided recommendations on where to eat and directions to a supermarket. Despite rising costs of goods and labor these days, this accommodation offers comfort at an affordable price through thoughtful efforts. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance. The room is also spacious.

The top-floor scenic bath was wonderful; the Onsen was very relaxing. It was great how the view changed between evening and morning. For dinner, since I’m not a fan of buffets, I chose the special kaiseki course. There were many dishes, and everything was delicious—from fresh fish to a tender filet steak. The Room was a modern twin, and the beds were spacious and comfortable. In the lobby there was a coffee machine, and it was nice that you could have as many cups as you liked during the available hours. If I visit Shodoshima again, I’d definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed here with four adults—my parents and us as a couple. This was our second visit, and we were able to relax thanks to the seasonal cuisine and wide selection of drinks. Since everyone has different preferences, the all-inclusive plan made it easy for all of us to enjoy both the meals and the baths, making it a truly wonderful trip.

Perfect in every way! The best value for money I’ve ever had. The Room was spacious and spotless. The fridge had a freezer, there was also a microwave, and the toilet was clean. The in-room bath was amazing, with a great view! The meals offered a good variety, which we really enjoyed.

The breathtaking horizon and the infinity pool were just as expected. The tatami-matted floor by the window was perfect for lying down and relaxing while enjoying the sunset from the room. Dinner was served on a tray, and though the portion was slightly modest, I wished I cou

The Hotel is located due east of Lake Suwa. The main building has windows facing north and south, while the annex (Palace Wing) has windows facing east and west. Summer fireworks go up due north of the Hotel. If you are coming for the fireworks, it seems best to book a Room on the north side of the main building; if you want lake views and sunsets, a west-facing Room in the annex is recommended. (The “Floor Plan” on the Hotel’s official website is easy to understand.) Enter from the south side of the Hotel and head east into the large parking lot in front of the Hotel (south side). Leave your luggage with a bell person and park in an available space. Check in at reception. Your luggage will be taken to your Room on a cart. The Room is clean, stylish, bright, comfortable, and recently renovated. Along the large north-facing window there is a long counter and chairs. To the left you can see Lake Suwa; to the right, beyond the Japanese Red Cross hospital building, you can view Suwa town and the northern mountains. The night view is also beautiful. There is no view from the unit bath. At showtime, lights in buildings around town dim, and fireworks rise due north for about 10 minutes. There seems to be music as well, but it cannot be heard from inside the Room. The private bath “Anzu” is a scenic bath with a large window opening to the north. The private open-air bath “Karin” faces west but is screened by fencing for privacy. Both are spacious enough, have two washing stations each, and are clean. The Chinese cuisine is refined yet easy to enjoy. Most tables are families so it stays quiet, though there may occasionally be groups drinking loudly. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. There is a long counter on the west side where you can dine facing the lake as well (first come, first served). Breakfast hours are set generously long, and estimated busy times are posted as guidance. This Review rating reflects my personal impression assuming “3” means fair value for money at this price point.

Meeting Ga-chan, your adorable resident cat mascot, made me so happy! The onsen experience, meals, staff hospitality—everything about this accommodation was excellent! For cat lovers it's perfect; even those who aren't will surely be satisfied with this wonderful accommodation
