This was my first stay, and just as everyone says, it was a truly wonderful Accommodation. The food was delicious, the Onsen water was silky-smooth, the staff were great, everything in the fridge was free, and the price was reasonable. The view was beautiful and very relaxing. Also, since I love drinks, I was thrilled by the wide selection of rice shochu... Thank you very much! I’ll definitely visit again.

Just looking out at the lake from our Room made me feel truly happy. Everything in the Hotel, starting with the Room, was so comfortable that I was really glad we chose to stay here. The portions were very generous and a bit too much for me, but both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Thank you very much. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to visit again. There are large TVs in both the bedroom and the living room, and my mother was thrilled to be able to watch the Asian Games!! We were truly impressed by how thoughtfully everything was arranged—down to the TV placement and easy-to-use amenities—as if our movements had been anticipated in advance. After a 4-hour journey, staying at this Accommodation made all our fatigue disappear! Breakfast was also amazing—they cooked tamagoyaki fresh on the spot, and it was incredibly delicious. The bath was great too, so we slept soundly that night. We’ll be back.

I stayed here twice a few years ago, and I was truly happy to be able to return after a long time. All of the staff were genuinely pleasant, and I had a very relaxing stay. In particular, thank you to Mr./Ms. H (I’m using an initial as I’m not sure if it’s okay to share the name) who assisted with my check-in. One thing only: I used FORNI for both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, my meat was upgraded, but I wasn’t asked about my preferred doneness. At breakfast, we were told it would be a choice of main dish plus a semi-buffet, but later we were informed that choosing the Japanese set would not include the semi-buffet, which was a bit disappointing. Even so, this is truly a wonderful Hotel. I look forward to visiting again.

A luxurious Facility where extraordinary koi swim. We were able to enjoy a sand bath, a ceramic bath experience, and a private open-air bath at no additional charge. All staff were kind and provided attentive service. The Japanese cuisine served at the Yakusugi cedar counter was exquisite, with tropical fruits used throughout that were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious. The entire property was spotless and impeccably maintained, and the star-filled sky we gazed at late at night from the free-flowing natural hot spring open-air bath in our room was beyond words.

I stayed for one night with my elderly mother. She has difficulty walking, and the staff kindly offered to bring a grab bar for the open-air bath in our room and a chair for the shower area. Normally, she cannot get into the bathtub smoothly on her own, but thanks to the grab bar they installed, she was able to relax comfortably and was truly delighted. Dining in a private room was also wonderful, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The food was of course delicious as well!! I only regret that I couldn’t finish everything. All of the staff were calm and attentive, which allowed us to spend a peaceful day at ease. The service was excellent, and I would definitely like to stay here again when traveling to Izu Kogen. From the moment we entered the entrance, the welcoming color scheme and lighting made us feel at ease. We were promptly shown to our Room, and we loved both the Room and the bath. At dinner time, what surprised us even more was that the head chef personally visited each table to greet guests, explain the dishes, and even show us the actual ingredients—our conversation really flowed. The attention to detail in every ingredient and every dish was uncompromising, and we were truly moved again and again. Breakfast was just as carefully prepared; there were no shortcuts. The head chef personally shaved bonito flakes, and it was clear they put great effort into sourcing ingredients. We liked it so much that we made a Reservation for our next stay during this visit.

This is what a great Accommodation should be. It met my expectations—and exceeded them. From the complimentary herb water made with herbs from the garden to the various cordial syrups and even a sake bath, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The olive kaiseki dinner left a strong impression of Shodoshima. I truly hope to return.
